Description

This book takes you further into the sleepy little village of St-Buvard where Maggie and Laurent discover not one but four murders to spice up their tenure in Provence. A year spent living in the south of France is not all it’s cracked up to be—especially when you have no job, a prickly first year of marriage, and your new best friend is murdered virtually before your eyes. Maggie Newberry is determined to help the investigations into the murders even if the incredibly sexy and too available French police detective on the case can only complicate her life in every possible way. Murder in Provence is set in the ancient city of Arles and, like all the books in the series, showcases the sights and mouthwatering cuisine of Provence—with a spicy dash of murder.

A bit too “the same” as the previous 2 books. Always the fighting with the husband, always the wrong suspect but she figures it out only to then be in danger.

Too many characters and somewhat implausible.

Another enticing and enthralling Maggie Newberry mystery! I enjoy the writing style and adore the characters! It’s great that there are so many entries in this series - and wonderful that the author is so prolific with her several series! Each and every story is like a gourmet treat!

I loved reading this story about a series of murders of people from a hospital. The amateur sleuth in this story gets involved by accident due to being friends with a victim’s mother. As she learns who is creating these incidents she becomes a target as well. The police finally find out who the killer is just before the sleuth shoots the killer, but not killing this person.
