I’m not against M/M relationships, but I think they should have their own genre. 16 books into this series and I’m really invested in the romances and storylines and as a straight female reading male on male action doesn’t exactly keep me interested in a book. I guess that may be why the price of this book is $2 less than the rest.Good

I feel like it ended abruptly, there’s not closure, it went from them talking and getting reacquainted to “here’s the next book” and an 8 chapter preview of another story completely. I feel cheated out as I don’t have a closure to this story. The story was good, the characters were great and it was very well written. My sister introduced me to hear books because I bought one for her years ago and she enjoyed it and has bought all of them since. She told me about the slash one and I decided to give it a try and enjoyed it a lot.Roxy 11
4By Ink11I resisted buying this book thinking two gay guys not interested. But this was by KC so... And what a surprise. Poor Caspion wanting a female mate but getting a male one instead. He rejected the idea for five centuries. You could feel the attraction between the two. Only wished they had more interaction with the other Dacians.Amazing!

3By GmaypesI wasn't sure I was ready for the male/male love story, but it was not objectionable to me. Kind of hot in some spots and sweet in others. I read Wicked Abyss first and frankly you can skip this book if the m/m thing doesn't do it for you. There are no clues you'll be missing for the whole ascension apocalypse. I always love K.C.'s books some more than others. Usually I rate them at 5 stars. Also, This is the only author I will pay $13.00 for an ebook for. No exceptions. My only problem with this book is that it's not finished. Thus the three stars. Cas and Merceo fall In love, resolve all there personal problems and just as there off to save Kosmina.......the book ends. I feel really disappointed. I don't love cliff hangers, obviously. I feel like this is something lesser authors do to ring more money out of people who sometimes can't afford the prices that publishers want to charge. Or whatever the reasons may be. I will gladly wait as long as it takes for an IAD book to get written. Why, would you make us wait with a story only half finished? I was just starting to like these guys. Ugh.Not worth the $5

5By Trb917So, I heard a lot of KC's fans were upset about the m/m storyline. I am a HUGE fan, and even though it's not my "go to" preference, I wanted to read because KC wrote it. It did NOT disappoint!! In true KC fashion, it was sexy, snarky and I didn't want it to end. The only issue I had was the end. It is kind of a cliffhanger. Of course I want to know what happens next!❤️ ❤️ ❤️

The book was FANTASTIC (hush to all the haters who got angry because they didn’t read the preview that mentioned it was a male/male romance, and huge kudos to Ms. Cole for being brave to tackle a romance that wouldn’t be universally accepted or understood). My only issue is that, unlike every other book in the series, it felt like the ending wasn’t resolved, yet the next book has nothing to do with this story line! Was that it for Mirceo and Cas?! Do we not get to journey with them on their last (and incredibly important) hunt? After 15 books with endings that felt well rounded, I expected more from this beautiful new novel. I suppose it’s a good thing that I was left wanting more, because the story was just that good!Conflicted
3By BW633Have always liked the books by this author. This one is a conundrum. I have never read man on man romance before. I was open to the experience, but not sure what to expect. I think I need to get used to the nuances. I cared about the characters, but this book didn't invoke a lot of emotion in me. Glad for the exposure and will keep an open mind. Would girl on girl have the same response? Not sure. Part of me resented the need to analyze my response and just wanted a familiar story to read. But times, they are changing and always good to be exposed to new things.Amazing
