Description

As the new owner of the Main Street Diner, chef Gabriella Marcos has taken a huge risk. After being duped by her fiancé and her boss, she invested her entire savings into a place she’s never seen, in a town called Marietta she’s never been to and brought her reluctant teenage daughter along for the adventure. Gabriella is also determined to prove to her overprotective family that she doesn’t need a man to make her life complete. Too bad her sexy new neighbor is impossible to ignore.

Since arriving in Marietta last summer, fireman Kyle Cavasos has enjoyed the anonymity that small town life provides. It’s a far cry from the opulence of Bel Air where he grew up. Here, he can be a Navy vet and a first responder, not the love child who caused a flurry of gossip and tabloid headlines decades ago. Kyle has no intention of getting involved with anyone in Marietta until Gabriella moves in and life gets interesting. Fast.

Despite agreeing to pose for the Marietta Men For All Seasons calendar in order to raise money for Harry's House, Kyle hopes to stay out of the social media chaos, while he gets to know the new girl in town better. But when the calendar goes viral, will it all come crashing down for the both of them?

Only in America could a story like this seem so real. This was a great read.

I liked the story line but had to skip all the graphic sex. It is a quick read that way.

This was a wonderful conclusion to the Men of Marietta series. I really liked this story. Gabriella is the new owner of the diner in Marietta, and she and her teenage daughter, Trinity, move in next door to Kyle, a first responder who is part of the calendar fundraiser. Kyle is hiding secrets about his past and his family. He's just trying to stay as low profile as possible and have a normal life. But the publicity of the calendar may cause that to blow up in his face. Gabriella and Kyle have chemistry and a spark right from the beginning. I loved how these two were with each other, and with Trinity. I didn't want this series to end. I enjoyed it so much.

Burning with Desire by Patricia W. Fischer, the fifth book in the Men of Marietta series is the perfect title for this wonderful book. This is a story of two people needing to change up their lives and moved to Marietta for that new beginning. Ending up living next door to each other is only an extra perk of their relocation. I liked the way in which the struggle Kyle had with not letting people into his world was portrayed. Kyle was mortified by the antics of his biological father and did not want the kind people of Marietta to know of their connection. Gabriella had so much to deal with considering her horrible boss who stole her recipes and threatened the livelihood and jobs of her family. Buying the Dinner from Paige was the first step in an improved life for her and her adopted daughter, Trinity. I loved how the town of Marietta took Gabriella and Trinity under their wings and made their adjustment to small town living easier. I really want to live and work in a town like Marietta. If only it was a real place. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in only one day. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

The last installment of the Men of Marietta, has Kyle, firefighter/paramedic as Mr October. Gabriella is new to Marietta, moving from Texas in the winter as the new owner of the Diner. Kyle and Gabriella our neighbors and there is a spark between the two immediately. Gabriella is looking for a new start with her teenage daughter and not looking for love. Kyle has a big secret that needs to share with Gabriella but has not found the perfect time to share, will it be to late once the calendar goes viral. Loved these characters. Gabriella is a very strong independent lady. How can you not love Kyle, a sexy firefighter/paramedic. Excited for the new diner in Marietta, hopefully will see it again. I'm so sad to see this series end. I highly recommend this book along with the rest of the series.

Kyle Cavasos is happy in Marietta with no one knowing his true identity. With a deadline looming to take over a family business Kyle puts all his extra time into the town project Harry's House. Gabriella Marcos took her daughter and left her home in Texas to save her families jobs after being threatened by there boss. When next door neighbor Kyle offers to take the new ladies in town to dinner and a tour of the town sparks fly between them. I loved this book. It was a great end to the series. The main characters were interesting and I found myself wanting them to get there happily ever after.

Yule Publishing has another awesome author. Patricia hit this out of the park. This is a mild mature read. Gabby is a chef who is driving from Texas to Montana with a daughter, a deaf cat and an aged Lab. She has bought a diner in Marietta. She is worrying about her daughter and will she be welcomed to the town. Major Spoiler! Kyle is hiding in town with the firehouse/EMT job. He has to give Gabby her keys to the rental house. She is next door and when they meet, Zing!Jason Crowe is a famous man who has a rotten reputation. He is also Kyle's father. Kyle grew up with Patrick working behind the scenes, literally. He has passed now. His mother, also a Hot Shot, wants him to go to one of her resorts in Texas and fix it's problems. It will also help fix Gabby's problems. Major Spoiler! I recommend this book for adults. It is a quick read. You may need tissues. Give this story a chance. Don't let it get away! I volunteered to read and review this book.
