5By Lynn B8884 1/2 STARS! With the next book in her Silver Springs series, Brenda Novak quickly had my attention and kept me riveted throughout with what turned out to be one of my favorites in the series so far! A wife is devastated to discover the man she married isn't who she thought he was, and has two kids to protect as she learns how to move forward in life. When she meets Gavin, she has a kindred spirit. He's had hard times as well, but he's striving to be happy and go after his dreams ... even when hiccups occur along the way! Savanna Gray never thought she'd be starting over at this point in her life, but after living through the horror of her husband being arrested for attacking three women, she is picking up the pieces of what's left and getting her kids out of town. It's not in the best shape, but the old family farmhouse in Silver Springs, CA will be a great refuge for them as they try to figure out life on their own. Gavin Turner lives right next door and is a huge help to her and the kids in getting settled and having things up and running while they fix the house up. They each try to keep their distance because of drama in each of their lives, but they can't hide their mutual attraction for long. Will a real relationship be able to come out of their connection to each other, or will she live to regret trusting another troubled man?Absolutely Unforgettable
5By KPMe1Savannah & Gavin are exceptional characters from beginning to end. Savannah is so strong, she survives the shock and turning upside down of the world that she had made for her and her family, the challenges of starting over and the start of a new relationship. Most women that had been through what she had wouldn't have been open to starting something new, trusting someone new but she was able to do that with Gavin. I don't think she could have done that with anyone other than Gavin. His warmth, heart and kindness made it possible for her wounds to heal and allowed her to give me the strength to stand with his convictions and heal from the wounds of his childhood. I absolutely love this series, I like how they are lightly interwoven together but still separate enough that you don't really have to read the whole series to enjoy each book.Great book!
5By Harley JohnstonWhen I began reading Right Where We Belong by Brenda Novak I knew it was going to be a great read on the very first page! It’s one of those books that pulled me in right from the start! Savanna has had her world turned upside down and moves to her family’s home in Silver Springs where she meets her new neighbor Gavin. From the very first moment they have this extraordinary pull towards each other and even though they run into huge bumps along the way, they continue to grow close to one another. This book has everything you need! A sweet love story, visits with old friends and a few edge of your seat moments that will make you hold your breath til their over! I LOVED it!!!!Amazing
5By bh313@hotmailEmotions definitely run high while reading this incredible story. I love Brenda Novak's books because of her characters. The are usually slightly flawed, a bit troubled, and absolutely lovable. This story brings us Savanna and Gavin and they are some of her best characters yet. After a rough childhood Gavin has finally found his peaceful place in the world. He's enjoying his new home, making his music, and being with his adopted family. Then his new neighbor comes crashing into his life and things get crazy. Savanna thought she had the perfect life. A husband and two wonderful kids. Well the wonderful kids part is right, the husband not so wonderful. In fact he's deadly. Starting over is just what she needs to do. A new man in her life is the last thing she needs but might be the best thing to ever happen. Put this on the must read list. I highly recommend it.Starting over
5By Marge_RobertsThis is my new favorite in this Silver Springs series, even though I have stated those words before in a previous review. All of these books are superb! Brenda Novak knows how to pull you into a story and never lets up until the last page. One of the two main characters is Savanna Gray, who is forced by the community’s treatment of her to move from Nephi, Utah and start a new life elsewhere with her two young children, Branson and Alia. Savanna’s husband was arrested for heinous criminal acts, denies everything he did, and is awaiting trial. She and her children end up in a dilapidated home she and her brother Reese inherited in Silver Springs, California. Gavin Turner, who lives next door, has his own problems with his on-and-off ex-girlfriend, Heather, who won’t let go. Savanna and Gavin become friends and lovers fairly quickly, yet a future together is pretty much impossible. Overcoming deception and trickery, dealing with obligations, and doing what is best due to circumstances beyond their control, their work is cut out for them. This book is a true gem, and I loved it!
