Fantastic ending to this series!!!
5By sferguson105I loved this book! It had the perfect amount of mystery and suspense, and, when you throw in the sexual chemistry between Chase and Valerie, it makes for a great read!!! They are both fighting demons from their past, and it was awesome to see both of them heal together. I saw a few of the twists and turns coming in the book, but other times I was completely shocked. A perfect romantic suspense read I would definitely recommend!!Explosive Chemistry
4By KSP91301You know you're in for a good read when you begin chapter one and have the thought "Gawd, in between releases I forget what a clever author she is." That's exactly what happened with this book. The last several years I've read contemporary romance almost exclusively. Last Chance reminded me of my previous love of romantic suspense. The storyline is a unique and well crafted one. The mystery the story is based on and the history surrounding it sucked me in immediately. The psychic abilities of both main characters was fascinating and added an extra layer of intrigue. The author's MCs are usually pretty hot, but the psychic connection between these two created an even more explosive chemistry. I adored Valerie, but it took me a bit to warm up to Chase. At first he seemed to be the typical cocky playa who thought way too much of himself. But he slowly came around as he got to know Valerie better and learned to open up. Towards the end he'd won me over too and had me rooting for their HEA. Last Chance is a prime example of Erika Wilde's superior talent as a clever wordsmith. I highly recommend it as well as her other books.Hot read!

Let me tell you why....I'm not a huge paranormal reader, but the simple hinting of the paranormal and abilities that I can totally see being possible, enhanced this story so much for me. Valerie and Chase both have extra sensory abilities that are paranormal. It also enhances the connection between them and they are on fire! I loved watching Valerie let her walls down and let Chase in. Chase and Valerie both have had a bad run with people they love so letting others in isn't simple, but working with each other and breaking down each other's walls, they fell hard for each other. I have been on the Chicago crime tour and I've been to Alcatraz, so I felt a special connection to this story with having been to these places. Another great read in this series!
