Description

Stone Barrington is pulled along for the ride when a friend pursues a perilous course of vengeance in the newest novel from #1 New York Times–bestselling author Stuart Woods.

In the wake of a personal tragedy, former CIA operative Teddy Fay—now a successful Hollywood film producer known as Billy Barnett—takes a leave of absence to travel and grieve, and lands in Santa Fe in the company of his friends Stone Barrington and Ed Eagle. There, fate hands him an unexpected opportunity to exact quiet revenge for his recent loss, from a man who helped to cover up the crime.

But when his enemy wises up to Teddy’s machinations, a discreet game of sabotage escalates to a potentially lethal battle. From the arid splendor of the New Mexico desert to the glamour of Hollywood’s rolling hills, it will take all of Stone Barrington’s diplomacy and skill to maneuver for Teddy’s advantage while keeping innocents out of the crossfire.

Absolute drivel. Choppy, unbelievable, shallow. I am stunned to know this made it to market.

Somebody just phoned this one in. All back story waiting for the real story to arrive, and it doesn’t. Woods need to apologize to everyone in the preface, again at the end and donate the money he makes from this book to charity. Something other than lining his pockets would be nice and take away some of the disappointment. Everyone knows you can do better. Step it up and get back in the game Stuart.

First time with this author and the last. To many unnecessary characters who only live the rich life and make love. Main character can walk on water and forget the loss of his wife and fall in love nearly the next day.

What has happened to the Stuart Woods of the past. I miss his writing. His books today lack the intensity of past story lines, the characters, most of which we know, seem watered down and ho hum. I don’t have a since of the sizzle he used to have. I have skipped over several of his latest books based on the reviews but decided to give it another shot. My mistake.

I have never written a review, but took the time to write one here and say this is the one of the most poorly written books I have ever read. Bland sentence after sentence with a story and people that have no depth....please save your time and money and find something else to read.

I am an avid Stuart Woods fan. So, I will admit I am biased . But, this book is a fast paced, quick read. I love the Teddy Faye character. I am always glad when they bring a little of that bad boy out of him again . I would highly recommend reading this book . It’s a must read and you will not want to put it down.
