The University Transformation Imperative

The digital revolution is sweeping away, increasingly rapidly, the traditional (legacy) ways of conducting business and replacing them with Internet-based (transformed) methods.  Although industries such as recorded music have been transformed irrevocably by Internet-based alternatives such as downloads or streaming many universities regard themselves as being unique and not likely to be affected by this massive disruption. They may be wrong. As universities are among the most prolific creators and consumers of information this book asserts that for universities to thrive, or perhaps even survive that transformation is now essential.
