Chinese Leaders

Explore the wonders of China with the Bedford Girls’ School Junior School Enhanced Curriculum Series. Each of the activities is supported by the IB learner profile, and it is expected students will create a portfolio while studying the topic across the curriculum.

In Chinese Leaders:
1. Confucius - was he a failure as a leader? What analects of wisdom can you create?
2. Shang Kings - investigate how history and archaeology disagree about the Kings
3. Success - examine a successful person and the obstacles they have overcome
4. Communism or Democracy? - compare both approaches, research government structure
5. Buddha - read the story of Buddha, create a timeline of his life
6. Art Projects - the Terracotta Army and press mould bowls
7. Project Books - improving our work

Bedford Girls’ School is an independent day school for girls aged 7-18 in Bedford, UK, and is operated by the Harpur Trust. We are a 1:1 iPad school, and this is one of a number of resources created for our students.
