Description

A SEXY OPPOSITES ATTRACT ROMANCE

She’s completely wrong for him.
Except she’s so damn right…

With his designer suits, chiseled jaw, and overstuffed bank account, attorney Easton Wallace has never had any trouble getting a woman in his bed—or sending them cheerfully on their way the next morning.

That all changes when local distillery owner Selma Herrington hits him like his favorite whiskey—slow and smooth, and with a kick that leaves him reeling.

Now he can’t get enough of her—even though she’s all wrong for the next step up on his legal career ladder. And that’s not the worst of it: As hot and crazy as they make each other, Selma’s ready to split town to follow her own dreams ... and nothing he says will make her stay.

But Easton didn’t get where he is today by folding in the face of a challenge—especially a challenge as wild, sexy, and mouthwateringly perfect as the smart-mouthed, devil-may-care, whiskey slinging Selma. And he’s got one killer of a closing argument that just might win her heart.

Each book is a STANDALONE romance with an HEA and an overarching story about a group of friends and the local bar they love. Totally hot and utterly binge-worthy!

Turn Me On by J. Kenner is the ninth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Easton and Selma, the straight-laced attorney with an eye on politics and a future as a federal judge and the edgy owner of a local Whiskey distillery that rocks short, multi-hued hair and sexy attire. Easton has been on his career path for as long as he has been studying law. The next obvious step is politics and then a play for a position as a federal judge. It makes sense. What doesn't make sense is his wicked, dirty attraction to the one woman that could implode his dreams. But are they really his dreams, and isn't she truly worth it after everything is said and done? Selma and her brother, Matthew, had a rough start to life. As a result, where he is steadfast and comfortable with the status quo Selma is determined to be accomplished and then move on to the next goal. achieve, challenge, excite, and go. Always go... Until Easton. He makes her want to stick but that isn't what she had planned for her life... Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!

This is the story of the ninth in the Man of the Month series. I loved it. Another great love story by J. Kenner. As Selma decides to sell her distillery and move across the world she need help from a lawyer. The lawyer that everyone is recommending is Easton. But she is not sure she really wants to have him in her life, especially since their one night together. This is a hot and heavy love story. Once again J. Kenner wrote a winner.

Another intense, impossible to put down masterpiece by Julie Kenner. Two characters who think they want one thing when they really want something entirely different. The only people who can open their eyes to their true desires is each other. I love the way Kenner weaves together these quick storylines and wish they were longer to really dive in to their history and their relationships. Love the characters.

This was a decent read. I wasn't in love with it but it was really good. Though it didn't have quite enough intimate moments. There were a few places were it'd been perfect. I absolutely loved the tattoo. It was a smart choice to include it. I'm on the fence with Easton and Selma's relationship. I wasn't 100% sure they meshed together. I think this book should have been longer. I think they could have made it work.
  • All Night Long by J. Kenner is the next book in the Man of the Month series

All Night Long by J. Kenner is the next book in the Man of the Month series. Selma Herrington and Easton Wallace are characters we have seen in other books. Selma as the founder/owner of Free-Tail a boutique, craft, distillery and Easton as the superstar lawyer that everyone uses. What we didn't know is that Selma and Easton have a history. One that Selma walked away from in her efforts to be free spirited and not tied down. The difference is the memory of Easton stuck with her as something more. When Selma decides to uproot yet again and sell, the now successful, Free-Tail, everyone tells her Easton is the lawyer to talk to. Easton has worked hard and excelled in his legal career. Now people are pushing him to run for a Judgeship. When Selma approaches him he knows either the best or worst thing that could happen to him has walked through his door. I liked that we got to find out more about Selma and Easton and see them together. Easton keeps trying to be the responsible aspiring politician, but Selma brings something real and powerful out in him. Together they are something more, the passion and the drive that they share cannot be contained. Overall I very much enjoyed All Night Long by J. Kenner. It was hot, passionate and fun. I wished it were a little longer. Another 30+ of these characters would have been fun and a bit more complex, but I think with the next book being Selma's brother, Mathew, we may continue some of the shared story that Selma and Mathew have. This was a nice add to the Man of the Month series and should not be missed. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance review copy of this book I received for free from in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)
  • My favorite so far!

This has been my favorite in the series. I finally felt like I got a full story in this novella. I like this series, but I always struggle a little bit with novellas because I feel like there is always so much left to tell. Easton and Selma's second chance romance, to me, was a full story and I loved it. Selma is confident and doesn't need any man in her life. That's why she walked away from Easton years ago. She knew that if she didn't she'd want to keep him in her life. Now she has entered his world once again and she doesn't want to leave. Easton knows that there couldn't be a worse time to pick things up with Selma, but he's drawn to her like he's never been to anyone else. This is a full story in a small package and I couldn't put it down. Loved watching Easton mess it up and having to grovel. Great read!
  • A must read!!!

This book was so good!!! The sparks flew between Selma and Easton from the start. I loved that they couldn’t seem to keep their hands off of each other, and they just clicked. There was the perfect amount of drama in this story, and I hope to see Karma come and visit a certain character. A phenomenal addition to the Man Of The Month series!!!!

This was a quick and hot read! I enjoyed reading about Easton and Selma. Selma was very confident in most of her life situations but deep down, very vulnerable. Easton has some of the same issues in a different way. It was nice to see how they both changed the direction that their lives were taking to one that they both really wanted. J Kenner always delivers!

Meet Mr September: our favorite lawyer Easton! Easton and Selma are a tangling duo of are they/aren’t they and second chances. Selma has had some pretty big bumps on he rough road of life and Easton had everything ripped away at age 13. The two start with a deal for a last fling before Selma moves away. Can Easton convince her to stay?

All Night Long written by J. Kenner 5 Mouthwatering Stars “...if you thought there was going to be more than a fast, fun time, then that was your misinterpretation. Not mine.” I don’t know how she did it again. If you’ve read my other reviews for The Man of the Month Series you know that J. Kenner keeps upping her game and giving me a new favorite calendar man. However...I think the woman in September makes him truly shine as a better man. Confidence is sexy and I think they bring that out in each other. “I wear designer suits on my body by day and gorgeous women on my arm at night.” This book makes you want to revisit your journey through life. Just because you're successful or following a plan doesn’t mean it’s the right plan for you. There may be another road you were meant to travel that makes you feel alive each day. “... a strict no-return policy with men.” Although I felt the serious undertones in this book do not think you will miss out on the fun, flirty, friendships, jealousy or steamy moments J.Kenner always dazzles us with. You will not be disappointed with Mr. September. “This is just you and me. No contracts. No rules. Our way, whatever we want that way to be.” I can’t wait to sit down with Mr. October in the next book of the series~In Too Deep.
