Description

Meet the Naughty Princess Club: a brand new series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that introduces readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that ensue when three women start a new business to make it rain.

Once upon a time Cynthia was the perfect housewife. Between being the President of the PTA and keeping her home spotless without a hair (or her pearls) out of place, her life was a dream come true. Her husband was once her knight in shining armor, but now he’s run off with all their money…and the babysitter.

Dressed as a princess at the annual Halloween block party on Fairytale Lane, she meets two other “princesses” also facing money troubles: antique store owner Ariel and librarian Isabelle. When the women are invited to wear their costumes to a party where they’re mistaken for strippers, Cindy, Ariel, and Belle realize that a career change could be the best way to make their money problems go bippity-boppity-boo.

But can structured Cindy approach a stripper pole without sanitizing wipes? And could the blue-eyed anti-prince that has been crossing her path become Cindy’s happily ever after? At the Stroke of Midnight is a hilarious, empowering story where princesses can save themselves while slaying in stilettos.

At The Stroke Of Midnight is a super fun retelling of Cinderella. The Naughty Princess Club is formed when Cynthia, Isabelle and Ariel need to find a way to support themselves. They take the lemons that life has given them and make some amazing spiked lemonade!! “I don’t think this is a children’s princess party!” I shout over the noise of the rambunctious men as a shower of dollar bills land at my feet. One of the men yells “TAKE IT OFF!” After being abandoned, divorced and left with no money by her husband, Cindy is just trying to keep up appearances for the PTA and her neighbors. But together with Belle and Ariel, she learns to shake off the persona that her ex-husband and MiL have built around her and she starts shaking something else! “You are NOT going to die sexless and alone with anything stuck in your cookie, aside from another much larger, much more enjoyable frickle,” Ariel reassures me.” I adore this really humorous series of steamy fairytales that are entertaining and loaded with heart and heat!! -5 Stars!-

This is At The Stroke Of Midnight, book one of the Naughty Princess Club written by Tara Sivec. If you have never read an original book by Ms Sivec then you really should expand your horizons! She has an innate gift of being able to write the most amazing potty mouth, sarcastic, tongue in cheek, dirty dry humping goodness, while still making her characters totally believable. You will want to be a member of the naughty princess club by the time you get done. I’m willing to place a bet on the fact... Kmsl. I love Cynthia, Arial and Belle as they try to maneuver the world as each of their own sole providers. And HOLY SMOKES, don’t you forget about PJ Charming. Buckle up folks, you won’t put it down until the last word and it’s gonna be a bumpy ride! I can’t wait for the rest of the series!! Run, don’t walk, to your nearest retailer and snag this book! You will not be sorry!!

What an amazingly, fun book! I loved it! It had me laughing out loud and put a silly smile on my face from beginning to end. Tara Sivec nailed RomCom on it's pretty little head! This had a bit of a modern day Cinderella theme that was cute with a touch of risque. Cynthia had the classic childhood with the evil stepmom and sisters. What Cynthia thought was her prince charming was her husband of 13 years who divorced her, took off with the babysitter and stole their life savings. Ariel, the outcast of the subdivision, takes Cynthia under her wing to promptly pull the stick out of her stepford wife behind. Add in a naive librarian that spouts random facts and you get three women who are the most unlikely group of friends that get into all sorts of trouble together. The risque part of the Cinderella theme may involve stripping. What could go wrong? ARC provided by NetGalley.
