Description

A tale as old as time: she needs a place to stay, he's a grump with a secret and an extra room...can love find a way?

Meet the Naughty Princess Club, a series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that brings readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that three women fall into once they decide to strut their stuff and bring on their own happily ever after.

Living in her overprotective dad’s basement, shy Belle lives her life through books. Being a part of the Naughty Princess Club is the first adventure she’s ever had, plus she desperately needs the money to save one of her favorite places - the local library.

But when her new friends and new business gets her kicked out of her dad’s house, Belle is rescued by the surly Vincent “Beast” Adams who invites her to be his house guest until she gets back on her feet. Despite his attitude problem and long list of rules, Belle finds herself warming to the muscled man with a penchant for growling and starts seeing a gentle side to him that wasn’t there before.

Yet there’s a room that Beast keeps locked and Belle keeps getting hints that Beast is hiding something…can a nerdy librarian tame the beast or will their romance be over before it has a chance to blossom?

This is my first book by this author. The story is a very light humorous read with a spin on Belle and the Beast. It's a 2nd in a series but is a standalone......which is how I read it. I don't think you miss anything by not reading Cindy's book. At times there were parts where it was so ridiculous, it was funny but for the most part I just couldn't get into the humor because it was so far fetched. I think this author is known for this kind of humor but it's just not my cup of tea. Belle is a nerdy librarian who is trying to keep her precious library open. Beast/Vincent is a bouncer with a past. There is a lot of interaction with her friends Cindy and Ariel, who I found to be extremely annoying. In fact I dont want to read about Ariel because of her personality in this a book. I found Beast a bit lacking in personality and the chemistry between the 2 was lacking. Also I was annoyed with how Belle reacted to what Beast was hiding....she was very wishy washy. The book was fine if you're in the mood for a funny and very light-hearted read.

I am just loving this series by Tara Sivec. This contemporary fun retelling of the Disney princesses is awesome. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite so I was really really excited for In Bed with the Beast. And I was not disappointed. Belle and Vincent(Beast) were great. Their interactions and banter were fun and cute. I loved seeing their relationship progressed as the story went out. They brought out the best in each other. They were sizzling and delightful. I was captivated by these two. The relationship between Belle and Beast weren’t the only thing that made me love the book. Cindy and Ariel were a riot. They made the book that much more entertaining. They had me cracking up every time they made an appearance especially that Ariel. I love the friendship between the three women. It’s natural and real and fun. This was an awesome story and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It was passionate and engaging. I’m excited for Ariel and Eric’s story. Whenever those two are together, it is explosive. There is so much more than what we’ve gotten a glimpse of so I can’t wait. Overall, In Bed with the Beast is fantastic read!

This is a totally wonderful modern romantic comedy version of the classic Beauty and the Beast take. Our heroine, Belle, the shy and unknowingly beautiful librarian (she has to be a book lover, of course) is set up in series of dates by besties Cindy (you guessed it, Cinderella) and Ariel (I’m not even gonna say it). Vincent, aka The Beast (of course), is not a happy guy about all of this. The story unfolds. Shocker: there is a HEA! The story may be predictable (duh) but not the wonderful romantic and giggle-ful (what, that’s not a word? It should be!) way done by Tara Sivec. I’ve never read this author’s books before I need to fix that ASAP (Cindarella and The Little Mermaid, anyone?). But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend.

What a super cute book! If you read the first in the series, you got to know our shy, quirky librarian, Belle. She's the pretty girl that doesn't know she's pretty. She grew up sheltered with a single dad. She also grew up around books that may or may not have contributed to her awkwardness as she has grown into a 25 year old librarian who spouts off random facts when nervous. Pair her up with the jilted PTA mom, Cindy and the outrageous and slightly inappropriate, Arial and you have for a very entertaining group of friends. These three really were the most entertainment in book one but in book two we got to see more of a focus on Belle and Vincent. We get to see Belle grow from a shy, awkward girl into a more confident but still shy woman. As she is trying to gain confidence with men, Cindy and Ariel set her up on a bunch of blind dates. Vincent being the broody, growly man that he is, isn't too happy about Belle being in unsafe situations and can't stop butting into her dates. The author has spun this series into the modern day fairy tale theme. In the first book you have Cindy and PJ (Cinderella and Prince Charming). In book two, we have Belle and Vincent who is nicknamed Beast (Beauty and the Beast). And soon we will get book three with Ariel and Eric (Little Mermaid). If you love a book that makes you laugh like I do, I highly recommend this series. Tara Sivec really is the Queen of Romantic Comedy!
