Into the Darkness

Great read! 😃 Though the name “The Shade” was a little cliche and made me giggle every time I read it, the story was good. Looking forward to reading the next one. 👍🏽

Okay, I am highly disappointed in this story. First of all, could she be more ignorant?! She makes stupid decisions and opens her mouth without thinking, getting herself into trouble and yet it’s EVERYONE ELSE’S fault...not hers? If I wanted to read about little kids not taking responsibility for their actions, I’d let my daughter tell me stories of how she’s not responsible for HER ACTIONS! Just unbelievable and self righteous. The nonhumans were more interesting than her. Do better, Nora. We know you can! This was not it.

Got this today for free, and was hooked from page 1. Sought out the complete box set as soon as I finished the first book. The boxed set of four short books is fairly priced for a long-novel-length read. The heroine, curvy news blogger Kathryn, is looking down the barrel of a gun during a coffee shop robbery in her high-crime city when one of the local superheroes steps in to take care of the bad guys...which Kathryn records on her phone. The amused supe, Lightning, allows her one question, which she turns into a blog post that gets her into a lot of trouble. With Lightning; his arch-rival supervillain, The Shade; the supe community in general; and the corrupt powers running the city. It is clear from early on that Kathryn is going to end up with not one but two supes as her lovers, but what exactly they are, what is really going on in their city, and how Kathryn handles the ongoing rivalry between her lovers makes for a very entertaining read that takes all four books to unfold. Based on what I’ve read thus far, I see a lot of Nora Ash series in my future.

Beginning to a series where superhumans pose as heroes but are they really. One reporter stumbles on to the truth and will be used by two supes for their own purposes. Gets quite hot in an alley with one very bad supe.

I loved this introduction to hot “supes” and the blogger who gets herself into trouble between them. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure how to navigate the story where the heroine Kathryn gets confronted by not 1 but two supes who are REALLY into her lol. Granted (minor spoiler ahead), she was kind of forced into submitting to one of the supes due to putting herself in a bad situation, but still, the amount with which she enjoyed it… Well I’m not going to be a hypocrite - I wouldn’t have turned him down either. I guess I have a thing for bad boys lol! I couldn’t wait for Book 2 because I could not put this one down.

Wow is what I think about the start in this series of books! Who would have thought superheroes would be so yummy! I’m not one who enjoys cliffhangers but it is worth it. I can’t wait for the next book. There’s lots of steam and suspense! I like that the Superheroes are so alpha and the female starts out a little timid but quickly picks up steam making for steamy steamy scenes!! The story has a great plot and keeps you in suspense. I would definitely recommend this book. Keep up the good work Nora so I can keep reading. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review

Nora Ash has written the first in a group of four novellas, with Into the Darkness. A quick but aggressively sensuous and thrilling read, you are initially immersed in Kathryn’s life as a blogger, living in a city where Super human creatures have taken over ‘helping’ to keep the peace. Kathryn needs to know more and fnds herself the toy between two fabulously sexy beings. On to the next book in the series, Hidden in Darkness!

This was a really good book. I liked the different take on the paranormal with super humans. Kathryn was a very well written character and The Shade and Lightning are both interesting and intriguing. Highly recommend this book. Was given this book for free for an honest review.
