“Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!” —Chris Pratt, star of the #1 Amazon Prime series The Terminal List
“Jack Carr and his alter-ego protagonist, James Reece, continue to blow me away.” —Mark Greaney, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Mission Critical
In #1 New York Times bestselling author Jack Carr’s follow-up to The Terminal List, former Navy SEAL James Reece’s skill, cunning, and heroism put the US government back in his debt and set him on another path of revenge.
When a string of horrific terrorist attacks plagues the Western world during the holiday season, the broader markets fall into a tailspin. The attacks are being coordinated by a shadowy former Iraqi commando who has disappeared into Europe’s underground. The United States government has an asset who can turn the Iraqi against his masters: James Reece, the most-wanted domestic terrorist alive.
After avenging the deaths of his family and team members, Reece emerges deep in the wilds of Mozambique, protected by the family of his estranged best friend and former SEAL Team member. When a series of events uncovers his whereabouts, the CIA recruits him, using a Presidential pardon for Reece and immunity for the friends who helped him in his mission of vengeance.
Now a reluctant tool of the United States government, Reece travels the globe, targeting terrorist leaders, unraveling a geopolitical conspiracy that exposes a traitorous CIA officer, and uncovering a sinister assassination plot with worldwide repercussions.
A high-intensity roller-coaster race against time, True Believer is “one of this year’s hottest thrillers, and a perfect fit for fans of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Daniel Silva” (The Real Book Spy).

Best Thriller Book
5By rios of 4A page turner! Takes you inside of Ground Branch and all that it entails. Jack Carr is an excellent writer! You won’t regret your time with this book. In to the next.A good continuation of Reece’s story
4By CountryBoy438I thought the pacing, story, and characters were written well. The author knows how to keep your interest while explaining things in detail, so it feels like you’re learning something. You can definitely see the Tom Clancy inspirations which I think the author acknowledged. My only gripe is the redacted words but I understand why it had to be done and the author made light of it. Overall, a good read. I enjoyed it. Might pick up the next book when it goes on sale.WOW
5By RudithecatI grew up on war stories as they were what my dad and aunt both Marines loved. My Navy mother liked the spy thrillers. These books combine them both. Love the Terminal List TV series and now Dark Wolf…..it doesn’t get any better.Way too much meaningless backstory
3By CareerMovesRead the first two chapters and then skip to chapter 31 where the plot unfolds. The intervening chapters cast Reece as “The Old Man and the Sea”, Thor Heyerdahl and “Ramar of the Jungle”. The backstories of each character have little to do with moving the plot forward.Steady
5By GjddhsKeeps you guessing. Great series - The technical language is appreciated.Action packed

4By nicktianoOkay, so this one takes a while to get going. But then it takes off. And so many twists and turns along the way. Thought I had something figured out but I didn’t. Hope the series continues. Action and Human Emotion wrapped up in one.True Believers will love
5By ellyjoshAwesome and captivating As good as the first one(Terminal List) James Reece is a character like no otherGood Series
4By Fort Worth, TXOverall I like the main character, James Reece, and his relentless pursuit of justice. I find myself skimming or fast-forwarding through many paragraphs that are too wordy and provide unnecessary details. I’ll continue to buy the books and follow Reece through his upcoming adventures!True Believer Review
