Description
Long-buried secrets. A devastating global conspiracy. And only one man who can stop it: Navy SEAL James Reece. From the “seriously good” (Lee Child) #1 New York Times bestselling author, Jack Carr.
In 1980, a freshman congressman was gunned down in Rhode Island, sending shockwaves through Washington that are still reverberating over four decades later.
Now, with the world on the brink of war and a weakened United States facing rampant inflation, political division, and shocking assassinations, a secret cabal of global elites is ready to assume control. And with the world’s most dangerous man locked in solitary confinement, the conspirators believe the final obstacle to complete domination has been eliminated. They’re wrong.
From the firms of Wall Street to the corridors of power in Washington, DC, and Moscow, secrets from the past have the uncanny ability to rise to the surface in the present.
With the odds stacked against him, James Reece is on a mission generations in the making. Unfortunately for his enemies, the former SEAL is not concerned with odds. He is on the warpath. And when James Reece picks up his tomahawk and sniper rifle, no one is out of range.
Reviews
Looks like art is imitating life.
4By DBlac_I enjoyed the Russian “sort of” history lessons. The closed cities information was especially interesting to me. I didn’t enjoy all the gun ID information, it was too much and felt like fillers. The book resembles the current state of the US October 2024. Still it was an interesting read! Thank you.Twists, turns, and more of the same?
3By Matt742I really enjoy the Reece series but Carr continues to weave together increasingly absurd plot lines and his injection of his personal politics seems to be getting worse with every book. I’ll keep buying and reading but at what point does he wrap the Reece story up and start something different?James Reece is THE Man!
5By Fred6042Fast paced. Couldn’t put it down. Carr is a master storyteller and James Reece is his masterpieceReminded Me of Clancy at His Best
5By Scott_A_Miller5 Stars. Once again, Carr and Reece knock it out of the park. I can read this stuff always. This one felt like Clancy at the top of his game. What great memories of those books Carr allowed me to remember. Can’t wait to see where they go next.A real page turner.
5By Red!1Another Banger!!At times a difficult read but does get back on track
3By Greywolf8577I had to skip over parts because they were just acronyms and word salad and then he would get back on track and the story would move along.Amazing!
5By Nike AthleteWOW! This book moved fast. I really liked it. The only thing is James does kind of “walk” in to some situations that I would believe he should not have. But of course he gets himself out of them. Love this series.Best so far..
5By Any oneBest book since Savage Son and Terminal list. Great read and excited for the next Reese adventure.Best Carr Book Yet
5By BenguerelThis tally ties everything together in the Reece series! Excellent and thought provocative read. Well done!Awesome

5By M-ToothCarr is creeping up on the Thor’s and Silva’s of the genre as top dog! Love to see a Reece Harvath pairing!A seriously good time
5By Grunt11bI love this series and this books does the series so much good! Buy it, read it, and prepare yourselves because the the ride is a seriously good time.Great book describes america and the world today
5By grutfdGreat bookAnother excellent entry
5By TigersJC86Just another phenomenal thriller from Jack Carr and my favorite since his 3rd books Savage Son. This book answered a lot of questions, had some intense and brutal action and enough espionage and detail of the real to scare you to the realities of the world but engross you to turn the page and keep turning till the end.Terrifyingly believable
5By CatchbigfishJack Carr has captured our world today. If only we had a real life James Reece to take out the trash.Always enjoyable
4By jmit22Always like these books. This one was a little different as it went down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories which made it a bit convoluted to follow. But I enjoy the character and the author.Only the Dead
4By pw!642Good fictionAnother Hit
5By jeffmccLoved it. Awesome as usual from Jack Carr.Missing Something
3By Spy LifeFirst off. I love me some Jack Carr and James Reece. Favorite author and favorite character. I don’t want to end up on his podcast for writing a bad review. But… As of now. This is my least favorite Reece adventure. Doesn’t mean it was bad it just means it isn’t as good as the previous books in my opinion. This book is the longest in the series but still feels like it’s missing something. Still loved it. You should definitely read it. I will be definitively buying and reading the next Carr and Reece adventure for as long as he keeps writing. Oh and one more thing. Stay off the list. 😉
