Description

Another day of chaos in the Davenport household. A spa day goes awry and a seance, set up by Gemma to talk to her dad, gets out of hand. They get way more than they bargained for, but may gain the leverage they need to deal with Mark's parents.

Ford continues to try and resist Daisy. Yaya sets Daisy up to keep Tommy at bay, and Tommy ruins Pops plans for a fun sexy evening with Yaya.

Just your average dysFUNctional day at the Davenports household.
Warning: If you are looking for a sweet, sensitive book with a happily ever after, this isn't it. It is a totally inappropriate book about a completely dysfunctional family. The F word flies free along with many other curse words. Feel free to get drunk (because the Davenports sure are!) while you're reading it, and prepare to wet yourself laughing. If sex scenes are not your thing, this book might not be your thing. But, if you have a crazy sense of humor and like raunchy comedies - you're in the right place. Join in on the craziness of The Crazy Rich Davenport Family.

Don't Wake the Dead, (The Crazy Rich Davenports #5) written by Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore, is the next installment in this hilarious, over the top, addictive series. As I have said in my previous reviews of this series, you should read them in order to get the full effect of the all the crazy antics these books have to offer. In this episode we meet Gemma, Lucy's sweet, naive, eldest daughter. Did I say sweet and naive, well she may come off that way at first, but she is definitely Lucy's daughter in the imagination department. Gemma is turning out to be as complicated and unpredictable as all the other crazies in this series. The plot thickens in this episode, the safe is opened, the ledger is found….but the one person who can read it won’t. Ohhh, did you want me to tell you who can read it- nope, not going too, you will have to find out for yourself. This episode is jam packed- from Ford and his struggle with all Daisy has to offer, to Pops and his surprise for Yaya. And of course the seance and what that reveals, or does what happens there just bring out more questions. This episode will keep you turning the pages as quickly as you can read. Happy Reading! ***I kindly received an ARC of this book by way of Booksprout. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review in order to read this book. Super fun serial series. These books must be read in order. Each book builds on the previous story. This book centers on Gemma, one of the older daughters. She is wanting to have a seance to talk to her deceased dad. The chapters are told from different perspectives. Each character has a distinctive voice. The multiple perspectives is a terrific vehicle for this series. The stories are masterfully told. Great raunchy, ridiculous fun!! I can’t wait for the next episode!!

Another great installment of the Davenports. More sides to the mystery and more secrets. Everyone is trying to solve the problem on their own instead of working together. Funny and original. I can’t wait for more.

WOW, this was another page turner. This book is full of suspense and laugh out loud moments. Ford and Pops finally crack the safe, but they can’t read the journal. I can’t wait to see what the journal reveals. The seance finally happens, but it’s interrupted by gunshots. You won’t believe what that was about. Hilarious! I can’t wait for the next episode. If you’re looking for a series that will have you laughing and flipping the pages to see what happens next, then you need to read these books.
