When a mysterious doctor offers to make him whole again, he takes him up on the offer. Little does he knows that he will no longer be human. Nurse Margaret is offered a great opportunity at a remote medical facility. Great pay, easy work, what could go wrong? Sparks fly the first time Margaret and Luke meet, but they try to ignore them. Too bad the evil doctor is too aware. This book features a strong heroine, a damaged hero, but manages to stay away from the stereotypical formula. I found myself truly wondering what was going to happen next – instead of seeing the ending a mile away. Eve Langlais is always a one-click, automatic buy of everything she writes. This new series is proving to be no different – can’t wait until the next one!5 ⭐️s! Such a captivating story!!
5By nrytherAh! This new series is SO creative and interesting, and thought provoking and captivating. I couldn’t get enough, devouring page after page to learn more and more. The interplay between characters made it so hard to discern who to like and who was the villain, was “this” real or all part of a delusion. So so so good.
