--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos (regarding Murder in the Manor) DEATH AND A DOG (A LACEY DOYLE COZY MYSTERY—BOOK 2) is book two in a charming new cozy mystery series by Fiona Grace.
Lacey Doyle, 39 years old and freshly divorced, has made a drastic change: she has walked away from the fast life of New York City and settled down in the quaint English seaside town of Wilfordshire.
Spring is in the air. With last month’s murder mystery behind her, a new best friend in her English shepherd, and a budding relationship with the chef across the street, it seems like everything’s finally settling into place. Lacey is so excited for her first major auction, especially when a valuable, mystery artifact enters her catalogue.
All seems to go without a hitch, until two mysterious bidders arrive from out of town—and one of them winds up dead.
With the small village plunged into chaos, and with the reputation of her business at stake, can Lacey and her trusty dog partner solve the crime and restore her name?

Gotta Love a Mystery
5By Beccagj51I’m enjoying this series of mystery books. Getting ready for my third book. Love the small British seaside town as a backdrop for our heroine Lacey to open her business and solve the unexpected murders.Lovely book
5By Twh7474This book makes me want to spend a vacation in a village like the village described in the book.Death and a Dog
3By DebwadI’d rate it higher because it’s a delightful read but there were too many grammatical errors. Your editor(s) let you down.Wonderful
5By Jenniecat 1I loved how it keeps you wondering who the killer is.These people seem so real!
4By TBgr1992The story was great—eventful, perplexing, and sometimes very stressful. I was worried for my new “friends “. Lol I’m so glad they got it all straightened out! ( You knew they would! — so did I!)Cozy mystery could use better editing
3By D&JVI enjoyed the first story in the series enough to give this one a try. While I felt like I had the murderer pegged fairly early on, it was still a decent story and I have already downloaded the next in the series. The only real complaint I have is that the editing seemed careless. There were word typos that when spell-checked became other different words and then, especially towards the last few chapters, there were sentences that were incomplete or didn’t make sense. I got through on context but I would expect better editing from a published novel I paid to read.Great Book
5By FaireagleLoved the book so much couldn’t put it down.Cozy mystery
4By mtr694Setting is charming with interesting characters and plot!Very cute story
5By Gsc10Easy read. Bit of a plot twist in the end. Not a huge amount of character development but wasn’t needed here.Loved it!
