PREPARING TODAY'S STUDENTS FOR TOMORROW'S CHALLENGES

With the support of our staff, district leadership, and community stakeholders, Deer Park Junior High empowers today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. As a 1:1 iPad-to-student campus, we continuously strive to leverage our knowledge and tools to enhance every learning opportunity. Our students are moving from consumers of content to creators who learn on demand, collaborate outside our school walls, and become leaders in our community. We have made strides to increase project-based learning, student voice, and student choice opportunities in our classrooms with apps featured in Apple’s “Everyone Can Create” curriculum. We have also purchased sets of Apple pencils for our students. With regular professional development and our dedicated, innovative staff, we hope to continue to increase student engagement and the depth of our students’ learning. By doing so, we can empower them to reach for their dreams post-secondary and beyond.
