And then Moses. *fans self* there is just something about this sweet talking guy. Logically I know he’s a bad guy, but I have a feeling there is a lot more to the story, his story, then what we have been told and I can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us.Kudos to Creole Kingpin!
4By starstacyI was intrigued from the beginning of this book when we start with Magnolia’s day, then jumped right into the action. Meghan March made me feel like I was in New Orleans, and I loved that Magnolia partook of the traditions of the city. Magnolia was an amazing heroine - she was a strong, independent, fierce woman who relies only on herself. But a man from her past who left her and the city is coming back for her, Moses. At first, we don’t know much about him, but he also intrigued me especially as his layers were peeled back little by little. I did believe he was only there to get her back but obstacles were almost immediately in their path. A mystery starts to unravel, and I was curious where it would lead. It lead to Magnolia finally believing him! Magnolia was stubborn and didn’t want to let Moses explain or let him back in. When she finally believed him and left herself be free with him, it was beautiful to read. Moses made me swoon and was a perfect equal partner to her. But what happens when a truth Moses wasn’t ready to tell yet is forced out? A wicked cliffhanger is what happens, and I can’t wait to read the conclusion to Moses and Magnolia’s story! Kudos to Meghan March for writing another fierce heroine, swoon-worthy anti-hero and story that captivated me from the first chapter! *I received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review.*Creole Kingpin indeed

I’m so excited to be back in NOLA and even more excited to be getting Magnolia’s story. She was such a power house in Mount’s book and I’m thrilled to read that she is still such a BAMF. And Mose.... dear lort. He is.... yep. Just yep. And the cliffhanger is in true Meghan March style. You think you’d be bored by the cliffhangers but March has a special talent for making them so good you’d sell your soul to get the next book and to see how everything plays out. And honestly if I knew selling my soul would work I’d do it for book two ASAP.Loved!
5By diego6981I was completely prepared not to like Moses. When he appeared in the Legend Trilogy he wasn’t the best person. But everyone has their own story and Meghan sure does know how to tell a story! Magnolia is strong and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Her and Moses are perfect for each other. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!!Amazing!

Fans of this author will recognize many people in this story as this could be considered a spin-off from the Mount Trilogy which has been around for quite some time and I hope you had a chance to fall in love with them like me. If not you can rest assured this can be read as a complete standalone. Magnolia Marie Maison is finally living the life she wants when the man she never thought she'd see again walks into her life after fifteen long lonely years. Being the women that she is, the mere sight of him enrages her. She wants to know exactly whom does he think he is coming back now after all this time! Moses Buford Gaspard fell for a beautiful woman fifteen years ago and vowed he would come back to her. He has made many mistakes but he is back to claim the woman that is his in every way. He truly hopes that she won't kill him when she sees his face and that this slow burn between them promises to be one heck of an explosion yet to come. Ok I freely admit I did NOT intend to like this book as much as I did solely based on the two main characters but I am so glad I gave them a chance as Meghan proved once again why her anti-hero romances are some of my very favorite in her vast catalog of sexy men! Moses is also determined, smart and grit. I love them fighting for themselves, each other and the people they love. Magnolia and Moses are anti-heroes in every sense yet you can’t help want to fight for them in every facet of their lives. They are protectors and they shine. I can’t wait to see what’s next for these two. I’m waiting with bated breath.Things are Heating Up!

5By itsgoindown_06I was so happy to be back in the bayou. The world that this author has created in the city of New Orleans is one I will NEVER tire of! I dare say that Magnolia is one of the strongest heroines that Meghan has ever created and that is some very esteemed company. Don’t get be wrong, Moses as the hero is great too (and I was SERIOUSLY worried about his lack of having any redemptive qualities after his villainous role in the the Legend trilogy), but Magnolia steals the show! This book draws you in from page one and doesn’t let go (even after the book is over)! I can’t wait to read the conclusion of the story!!Read this book

Smart, sassy, independent, strong and vulnerable all perfectly wrapped into one character. Moses is wonderful too but Magnolia is a Queen. Can't wait for Book 2.Kept me on my toes

In true Meghan fashion, this book kept me on my toes. It’s full of twists and turns. And the ending...not what I was expecting. I can not wait to see how Moses and Magnolia’s story concludes.
