3By Montanafilly73Garrett, no matter how much he talked about sex & stuff, had to have the patience of a Saint the way Rachel was around him. Rachel had hard lessons to learn and her dead husband’s mother was a creep!!!! The book was too wordy and felt like a 3 hour movie about too many little things. I got the distinct impression the folks were Arkansas mountain folks (some people call them hillbillies), because of the way they talked and lived. I found them to be endearing, the whole lot of them.The Sheriffs Woman

Real people who develop and grow and admit when they’re wrong. A community that gathers around for support. A relationship that develops without crazy monkey sex every 10 pages... very satisfying read!
