Description

A man struggling to leave the battlefield behind, a woman powerful enough to help him all the way home.
Logan Stone should be happy. More than happy, in fact. He’s Sutton Capital’s newest executive, no longer a Navy SEAL in the line of fire, fighting for his country and his brothers-in-arms. Now he spends his days working side-by-side with Samantha Page, the sexy, brilliant woman of his dreams.
But Logan is fighting a different kind of battle; one no one realizes he’s in. While he’s focused on managing his PTSI, something much more sinister enters his world and he must battle to save Samantha’s life and their growing love.
When her life is threatened, he spirals downward. If he succumbs to the PTSI clawing at him, she’ll be left to fend for herself against threats neither of them could see coming.

Steamy romance meets heart-stopping suspense in the Sutton Billionaires Series. This is the fifth book in the series but it can be read as a standalone story with no cliffhangers. If you’d rather start at book one, grab The Billionaire Deal by Lori Ryan. A shorter version of this book was previously released as part of the Sutton Capital Series.

The Billionaire’s Navy Seal Lori Ryan This book grabbed my heart and emotions. It connected with me because of the PTSD or PTSI. The respect that was given to Logan as he dealt with this issue is greatly appreciated. It touches home as my husband has it. Logan needed a strong support and he got it in Samantha. Suspense added to a romantic story makes for a book you can’t put down. My favorite so far.

I always look forward to reading any books by Lori. This one didn’t disappoint ... I didn’t skip a page. I just wanted to find my own veteran to love. Logan stubbornness at time bothered me but the story in itself was amazing to read. Keep on releasing great books Lori!!!! I love them all!!

This is the fifth in the Sutton Capital series and I have read all of them. There are recurring characters from previous books, but they are sufficiently explained so there is no reader confusion. It is written in third person and can be read as a stand-alone since it does not have a cliff hanger ending. However, for maximum enjoyment, I recommend reading ALL of the books in the series, and in order, because each couple’s story is worth knowing! Samantha (aka Sam) Page has always been the Brainiac geek in the room. Her mad computer hacking skills have led her to consult with the FBI, write a best-selling video game and to her current job at Sutton Capital. Interpersonal skills have been hard for her and she has no filter with her thoughts and frequently does, and says, things that embarrass her and others. She feels worthwhile and secure with her Sutton colleagues and friends. Logan Stone was a Navy SEAL, with a distinguished military career, and is now the new executive hire at Sutton Capital. He struggles to maintain the cool, calm, collected image he cultivated to survive in wartime conflicts when battling PTSI in everyday “threats”—like nightmares, traffic, crowds and sitting in restaurants. The lives of men he lost in his unit haunt him and he has survivors’ guilt. Sam and Logan work together at Sutton Capital and are attracted to each other. Sam is hilarious at times with her no-filter personality and she makes Logan laugh. Even though she has a brilliant mind, she also has a kind, compassionate heart that recognizes Logan’s pain and adapts her life to give him solace. He acknowledges he needs help to deal with his PTSI and seeks counseling. Strange things begin happening to Sam. When Sam’s safety is compromised by something in Logan’s past SEAL days, he is determined to keep her safe, and somehow fight his demons to protect her. The character development of Logan and Sam is superb, and their painful growth was sensitively written. Their love story evolved at a steady pace and I found myself rooting for this couple to overcome all of their differences and struggles. Ms. Ryan writes with such care and compassion for the wounded warriors with battle scars not seen. Sam’s supportive words that show genuine understanding of Logan’s fight were spot-on. These two deserve every bit of happiness they can grab and I loved them both! If you only can read one of the Sutton Billionaire’s books, make it this one. It’s a perfect balance of courage, love, heart and suspense.
