Description

Two years after the man she loved was killed in Afghanistan, Morgan Bartley is trying to put the pieces of her life back together. Renovating her dilapidated beach house in the Outer Banks might be just the distraction she needs to manage her debilitating anxiety attacks and begin to heal. That is, if she can ignore the ridiculously handsome guy next door…

Jackson Montgomery’s life revolves around his five-year-old daughter and his job as a Coast Guard Search and Rescue pilot. But while his gorgeous new neighbor is clearly in distress, he’s pretty sure she’s no damsel. Morgan is stubborn with more defenses than the Hope Diamond, and the dog tags hanging from her rearview mirror give him a pretty good clue as to why.

Morgan swore she’d never fall for another pilot, let alone a military man—and Jackson is heartbreak waiting to happen. But love never plays by the rules…especially when you try to play it safe.

The Flight & Glory series is best enjoyed in order.

I loved this book, and the characters really came to a head in this one. It is so nice to read a novel written by an author who speaks the language. This book is so well written and I had a hard time putting it down. Thank you for this captivating series. I loved these books so much I bought the paper copies to keep in my bookshelf to read again.

You can never go wrong with a book by Rebecca Yarros, so when The Reality of Everything hit my calendar, I quickly dove right in. Though this is the fifth book in the series, it was only the first I have read and I loved it. I did not feel lost at all, but I am definitely going back and starting from the beginning, because I have a feeling they are just as good. This author has definitely and quickly become a one-click author for me. Morgan lost the man she loved and is heartbroken. She never wants to love again, especially another man in uniform. I loved Morgan. She has been through so much but is still so strong and determined. When she decides to move for a fresh start, the last thing she expects is her neighbor, Jackson, and his daughter. He is handsome, charming, and so very patient and caring. Can she learn to open her heart again? Oh, the feels. The Reality of Everything was emotional and full of angst but also heartwarming and touching. Their chemistry was definitely undeniable but they had so much to work through. A definite must-read! Happy reading!

It's been exactly two years since I binged the Flight and Glory series and this group has stayed with me ever since. Hallowed Ground (Book 4) was one of the saddest I've ever read and I've been hoping for Morgan's HEA ever since. The Reality of Everything did not disappoint!! I don't think that any of the Flight & Glory books are standalones since you miss way too much of the backstory if you don't read the books that came first. I spent a good bit of this book crying my eyes out so hard that I couldn't see my kindle screen. But there's also a good bit of humor and Finley is EVERYTHING!! Jax was insanely perfect for Morgan. He's patient and kind but not at all a pushover. I never thought anyone could come close to how much I loved Greyson but Jax came really really really close. I'm going to miss Flight & Glory so much. These characters are some of my favorites!!
