Great sweet romance
4By Cheryl33610Sweet romance is a tricky sub genre for me, as the story and connection to and between the characters has to be strong enough to off-set the lack of on-page physicality. But Victoria James is one of those authors that has such great character development that you feel the emotions in the storytelling and dialogue more so. Finn and Melody are a great couple, each dealing with their own issues but quickly opening up to help the other. Of course, they’re each still closed off to their own problems, which can be frustrating. While this is book seven in the Shadow Creek series, it can be read as a stand-alone alone. I think Ms. James has done a good job of filling in some background family issues that have been dealt with in other books, but its always fun to see couples who previously got together make cameo appearances. So whether this is your first book or you e read the whole series, Snowed in with the Firefighter is not only a great holiday story but an enjoyable romance for any time of the year.
