Calculated Risk

Another fabulous addition to the Blackbridge Security series by Marie James. This series is so entertaining and the characters are so easy to love. Calculated Risk is the fifth book in this series and is that suspenseful romance with a hot alpha read that we have all came to love in this series. Quinten and Hayden romance is a slow burn that is full of twists that will pull you in from the beginning. And last but not least....Puff Daddy, from all the previous books, continued to provide multiple laughs. I would read this series just read what comes out of his mouth next! LOL I highly recommend reading this series in order due to the side characters from the previous books also being in the storyline.

I have really enjoyed this series and Calculated Risk was no exception! Quinten and Hayden’s story was fast paced, yet Marie still managed to beautifully develop these awesome characters; they were easy to love. Can’t wait to see what is in store for Parker and Jude!

Just when I thought I couldn't love this series any more, Calculated Risk comes out and BAM! I've got all the feels for Quinten and Hayden! I was sadden for Hayden as to why they are brought together. I love that it wasn't instalove between them, but a curiosity that grew. Hayden was so resilient, while feeling frail, defeated. I love Quinten's action/reaction to her! As always, you gotta enjoy the brotherhood of the Blackridge Security team! They are quite entertaining! And you can't leave out Puff Daddy when you're talking entertainment! And Jude, the medic, had me chuckling more than once. (I suspected something was up with him!) Two more books to go in this series, but I just can't believe they could be any more perfect than Calculated Risk. But then again, the Author is Marie James! The books in this series can be read as standalones, but don't cheat yourself out of each book in the series!

I am loving this series! And it just keeps getting better! I absolutely loved Quientin and Hayden. Their story is a slow burn that grabbed me from the start. It is sweet and romantic and extremely HOT! Their chemistry is off the charts and I could not put it down. I cannot get enough of the guys from Blackbridge Security and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

This author has done it again!! She creates a fast paced, keep you on the edge of your seat page turner that kept me interested throughout. Quinton and Hayden do not have that instant love connection but they grow into it. Quinton is forced to teach the women’s safety gun course and as Hayden‘s ability and confidence and her shooting increases so does Quinton‘s attraction to her. When trouble comes knocking on Hayden‘s door Quinton is there. Puff Daddy makes a hilarious appearance in this story. I can’t wait for the series to continue!!

This was another great read! Quinten & Hayden are amazing characters in Marie’s new Blackbridge Security series. Loved how Quinten was actually a great teacher & ends up being Hayden’s fixer. Again I can’t wait for the next one to see what happens with Jude & Parker!!

Calculated Risk is the fifth book in the Blackbridge Security series, told in dual POV. I have loved every book in the series and Quinten and Hayden’s story just added to the greatness of this series. Quinten and Hayden don’t exactly hit it off when they first meet. He’s been selected to teach a gun safety course for women who want to learn to defend themselves and he’s not too thrilled about. He has this feeling it’s just going to be women who want to oogle and ogle him and his team. Even when he finds out that the women have been chosen because of trauma in their past, he still feels there are better suited members of the team for the job. Hayden didn’t want to take the safety course her friend signed her up for, but after the traumatic incident happened to her, she couldn’t argue her way out of it. Gah, and the sexy instructor is a jerk...or so she thinks. I very much enjoyed the build up for relationship between Quinten and Hayden. It isn’t an instalove but I feel it wasn’t too much of a slow burn, the story just flowed so well. I did want to smack both their heads a time or two, but they finally pulled it together. I laughed and swooned and bit my nails at times. I just really love these to characters together. As always, Ms. James’ side characters bring a connection and balance through out the series. I love getting to see all the characters interact and meet new ones as the series goes on. I can’t wait for the next installment! Thank you Marie for another amazing read!
