Description

A few years ago, when his sister went missing, Haggard Crow turned into something he never wanted to be. A killer.

Even after his sister is rescued a year after she was kidnapped and sold, Haggard ‘Thief’ Crow doesn’t have any plans on changing. He sort of likes the zero f***s given guy that he is now.

Bonus points, he saves women and children from extreme situations, along with his club and real life brothers by his side.

After a horrible marriage, Haggard has zero plans of ever finding a woman again. One-night stands not counting, he adores his life as a single man. There are no expectations. No ‘where are yous’ and ‘are you coming homes.’

The life he chooses to live is a simple one. Until he makes a huge mistake, and he steps over that line between ‘daughter’s best friend’ and ‘a woman he desperately wants.’

Before long, he can’t stop thinking about her. Can’t stop wanting her. Can’t stop feeling things for her that a man twenty years her senior should never feel for a girl he watched grow up.

After one lapse in judgment, he decides she needs to go. But the funny thing is, he never expected Sophia Madden to fight back. And dirty at that.

Storyline was juvenile. Hard to believe this was not written by a teenager. Who else but a kid would think a father in his late 30’s was old? Also, names of cities like “Intercourse” or “Bossier”? Not worth the price.

This was so good. I’m never big on age gap romances, but this one was really good.

41/2 emotional stars! I’m not going to lie, this book was an emotional roller coaster. Have your wine and tissues at the ready. But in true Lani fashion, she ripped my heart out and put it back together in the best way possible. Also as far as age gap romances go, this was written so beautifully. There was no reason not to be a champion for these two wonderful souls who needed each other and just went for it. And last but not least….wholly steam factor! This book is HOT!

This story just ripped my heart out. I don’t want to spoil anything but OMG this whole book was filled with crazy and shocking events one after another. Haggard is the president of the Battle Crows MC and they are not afraid to do whatever it takes to protect those they love. Do you know what Texas weather is like? That’s what dating a Texas girl is like. SOPHIA has had a thing for Haggard since she was young. As his best friends daughter he knows she’s off limits. There comes a time when you just have to say that’s it. “You and me?” I asked. “We’re happening. We’re not wasting any more time on what-ifs, or this isn’t rights. You’re going to be mine, and I’m going to be yours. This is a great start to this new series and if this book is any indication we better hold on for a seriously dark ride.

Wow!!! Amazing first book in a new series. Despite the age gap Sophia and Haggard are perfect for one another. They know one another because Sophia is best friends with Haggards daughter Clem. But don’t worry Clem gives the okay for them to date since she knows how her best friend feels. So after years of dancing around their feelings for one another they decide to give it a go after an accident Sophia has at work. This book has everything: amazing friendships, drama, love, and a wow HEA. I would recommend reading this new book, it’s amazing.

This is a book that starts the new series by LLV and it stars Sophia who we met in the previous series, MADD Crossfit, and starting in the first book called No Rep. I think to really understand whats happened before you should read that series first as its a great intro to Sophia and Haggard. This book and maybe even the series is DARK. Very dark. This book is so intense and very dark. Its a very deep love story but its also got some tragedies in it as well. I can't really explain it too much because I also don't want to spoil the book for you. Reading it I wish I had the author on speed dial because I have so many questions. You do get some answers at the end as the author added a note to answer those questions. It does NOT end on a cliff, but you will have questions too and it has a HEA ending for Sophia and Haggard. This is the story about Sophia who in the Crossfit series along with her father Madden lost her brother and Madden's son, Jasper. Jasper was also Sophia's beloved twin brother who was also a cop and he died in a bomb fire. In the Crossfit series when Jasper died, his body parts were donated to save other people's lives, one was Murphy who is the star of the second Crossfit book, Jerk It and he gets Jasper's heart. Jasper's death is a big component of this story because Madden is all Sophia has left of her family, and in this story Madden is having a really bad time dealing with his death. Sophia does have a very best friend named Clementine and she is also in love with her best friends very hot and older (age 37 to her 22) father, Haggardy. Haggardy is divorced from his ex and he wants Sophia too but his best friend is Madden and he feels it would be a betrayal to Madden and also to Clementine. This is very much a forbidden and very hot romance with a big age gap. This was an extremely well written story and it was so intense up to the very last page. There were many surprises along the way. Haggardy is a dark character and this a very intense story. I loved it but at about 80% I just started crying so make sure you have a box of tissues and keep reading because it only gets better from there. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
