It comes in the form of a small, feisty, attractive woman who just happens to be the best friend of his brother's girlfriend. And as fate would have it, she's also his new neighbor.

Burning down walls
5By RUMBLE TIME GAMESARC REVIEW đ Review: 5/5 âïž Steam: 3/5 đ„ #ignited is book two in #fanningtheflamesseries by @sierrahillbooks and @seroseauthor Nick is home after serving 10 years in the military. Heâs been through traumas and seen things he canât get out of his mind. Being back home, heâs working as a firefighter. Itâs what heâs meant to do; helping people. He has a huge heart even though he feels broken, not like he deserves love and happiness. Moving into an apartment alone itâs a surprise to who his neighbor is. The girl that sees through his tough exterior. Is he willing to give the spark between them a chance or is he going to extinguish any chance of happiness? Becca is a pediatric nurse and has seen her fair share of heartbreak. But in her profession, she is taught to trust her instincts. Hers is telling her that Nick needs a friend. But the more he comes to her rescue the more she wants to be with him. Can she break down his walls or is her heart going to crumble again? Wow this book got me good. I donât usually write anything too personal but It was scarily relatable to my life. I am a nurse and my husband is in the military who had a very similar experience to Nicks. I can relate to Becca when she tries to break down Nickâs walls. This book wasnât rushed, told a story and didnât leave you hanging with the past trauma. Iâm glad to see previous characters and canât wait to see whatâs next. I love this series and 100% recommend itNick and Beccaâs love was meant to be!!
4By Romance213Nick is a courageous veteran who is trying to find his place in life now that he has returned home. He was thrilled to be working alongside his brother Tyler as a firefighter. Nick has demons that wonât leave him alone, but could the love of a good woman chase them away forever? He doesnât feel worthy of Beccaâs love because he refuses to drag her down with his problems. Becca is sunshine and laughter while he is sadness and despair. When Nick is with Becca she makes him want to experience all that life has to offer. Becca can tell that Nick is hiding a part of his life from her but she understands why he would choose to do that. While he is gradually opening up to her, Becca senses that his memories of the war are still fresh in his mind. Nick was proud to have served his country and in his heart he was ready to leave it behind but his mind was still troubled by all that he had encountered. I could tell how painful it was for him to socialize and flirt with Becca while remembering that some of his friends did not come home. I felt bad for Nick because he thought he wasnât good enough for Becca. He has a big heart and that is what Becca loved most about him. Can Nick break free from his demons and accept Beccaâs love or will he push her away, destined to be alone?Feels and Chemistry
4By Embell0830A small town, friends to lovers romance between a pediatric nurse (Becca) and recent military veteran turned firefighter (Nick). Nick is back in his hometown after a traumatic deployment and is working with Tyler and Callie (Book 1, Burned). A quick read with steam, chemistry, and angst. The steam factor in this story wasn't as high in this story as in Burned, but the emotion/feels were definitely up. Both Becca and Nick have careers that are emotionally intense, which creates an understanding that allows them to bond. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the communication between Nick and Becca. While they don't lay it all out there, what they do give is very refreshing and honest. I can't wait for Liam's story, which should be Book 3 in the series.
