Description

The only thing more exciting than being eleven . . . is turning twelve!
Winnie Perry went through a lot when she was eleven, from shifting friendships to her teenage sister’s mood swings. But now that Winnie is twelve—and one step closer to being a teenager herself—there is so much more to deal with. Will her new friendship with Dinah last? Can she handle the pressures of junior high? And, most important, will Winnie survive bra shopping (in public!) with Mom?

Bestselling author Lauren Myracle again sharply observes a year in the life of a winning young heroine whose humor, daring, and compassion for others is infectious and unforgettable.

When I was 14, I was curious about the book, so I got the audiobook version. I used to cut the grass on a riding lawnmower on a hot summers' day and listen to it being read. I was addicted. When I got to the end, I started it again. I probably read it about 5 times over many summers, revisiting it like I read it for the first time. I'm 18 now, and I still love it. I was almost 16 when the 'plot' of the book became personal to myself, but would recommend this to anyone for a fun and awesome POV read!

I love the Winnie books. They are all really good. You should read this one when you are at least eleven or twelve. Some of it talks about stuff for older girls.

This is an awesome book and I think it is really inspiring to everyone and for the amount of greatness in this book I think the price was worth in. It is so awesome and it is a book I can read over and over and I will never get bored. This book makes me think of my own friends and how I treat them. The only thing else is that it will make a lot more sense if you read the book 10 and 11first then 12,13,and thirteen plus one.

By is this taken? what about this
I really like this book. I've read it at least three times. My favorite parts are the mud mask scene, when they're in the kitchen and Ty is whacking Mom, and the part where Winnie is giving Sandra tips on driving and Mom is telling gory car accident stories. I felt incredibly sick to my stomach during the squirrel/bike scene, and I sort of wish Lauren hadn't written it. But oh well, she didn't write the book for me. (Or did she? I love it so much, it's like she read my mind!) I love how honest Dinah is. Winnie is so much like me, it's weird. And I always get mad at Cinnamon for making those phone calls, even though I love Cinnamon's character. And King Kong? Huh? In short, many thanks and mini marshmallows to Lauren Myracle for being an excellent writer! I wish there were more books in this series. 😿 But it's a really good book; you should buy it! Just, seriously, it's not a boy book. If you can't tell.
