Description
"I'm Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent. I can't be celibate. Everyone knows that."
Desperate to escape her scheming relatives, Evangeline Jenner has sought the help of the most infamous scoundrel in London.
A marriage of convenience is the only solution.
No one would have ever paired the shy, stammering wallflower with the sinfully handsome viscount. It quickly becomes clear, however, that Evie is a woman of hidden strength—and Sebastian desires her more than any woman he's ever known.
Determined to win her husband's elusive heart, Evie dares to strike a bargain with the devil: If Sebastian can stay celibate for three months, she will allow him into her bed.
When Evie is threatened by a vengeful enemy from the past, Sebastian vows to do whatever it takes to protect his wife . . . even at the expense of his own life.
Together they will defy their perilous fate, for the sake of all-consuming love.

5By Rosebw64I love all of Ms Kleypas’ books. The story line keeps me intrigued and I like to follow the story from one marriage to the next.Devil in Winter
5By calla lily octopus girlThis is my favorite Lisa Kleypas novel, and I think I’ve missed maybe 1. Sebastian is my favorite hero, he so obviously needs someone like Evie who is strong enough to love him, and not give up on him. Absolutely wonderful; the plot is so intriguing, and the intimacy between the characters is even more moving than all the other wallflowers books. Read it… you won’t be sorry!Love it!
5By PearlAquaOceanSuch an enjoyable, quick read!My favorite of this series!
5By ingridocThis is one of my favorite historical romances. Evie is the most strong-willed character who comes from such a bad home situation. She refuses to break and that backbone is what helps her to face Sebastian’s snarky personality. Sebastian is really the villain from book 2 so it picks up right after those events. He’s very cold and lashes out easily. But Evie never backs down. He really grew and I fall in love with them each time I read this book. To see him soften up and care about her makes me swoon. “You’re my wife… My better half… My prize…my pleasure and pain…my endless desire. I’ve never known anyone like you, Evie.” • Tropes: historical romance, reformed playboy, marriage of convenience, forced proximity ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️Amazing

5By JAILbird12344566After reading the previous book in the series, I started this book a little meh on Sebastian’s character BUT IN THE END, I LOVED THIS BOOK more than the last!! 😭 Technically enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, a scandalous rake, and a smart main character who knows how to stand her ground. Love it all, no skim reading at any point. The dialogues between them were so intriguing and never left me bored lol Sebastian’s humor was everything. ITS A MUST READ!!2nd best fav in Series

5By Jnelle87Such a great book.One of my favorites
5By jeba27How Kleypas was able to make Sebastian an irredeemable jerk in Lillian’s book, and then then turn him into one of the best “heroes” of all her books...well, it just speaks to her brilliance as a writer. He has so much more breadth than a normal character, he’s not good or bad, just human. Their relationship is one of the most realistic in her books, and seeing them later in the Ravenels just drives home what an amazing love story these two experience. I’m reading it for the 3rd time and it won’t be my last. The Devil in Winter
5By sienniaLoved this book. Clever story line, well defined characters, and fun repartee between them. If you enjoy Regency romance novels this is a must read. I will be reading the rest of the Wallflower series. Lisa Kleypas has been added to my list of favorite authors. Her writing is so wonderful you feel as if you are in the room with Evie and Sebastian experiencing their trials with them. I loved the small but telling bit where Sebastian takes Evies hand and caresses his jaw with her fingers. Read it you’ll understand! The Deviil I in winter
