Bridge to Terabithia was also named an ALA Notable Children’s Book and has become a touchstone of children’s literature, as have many of Katherine Paterson’s other novels, including The Great Gilly Hopkins and Jacob Have I Loved.

I always wondered why disney never made the 2nd part of bridge to therabithia because the movie is so good is amazing the way they even made it it's so sentimental and so beautiful, the people that banned this book maybe is haters because I never seen any kind of profanity or atheistm coming from this movie. I don't understand why people talk about that this movie promotes atheism, I really want to encourage Disney to make the 2nd part of this movie or the writer to write a second part of this bookWhy I’m like me

I truly appreciated the beauty of the novel even at that age, though it is a good book to read with a parent as well. It's hard to describe it, but...Jess Aarons meets Leslie Burke. She introduces him to a whole world of fantasy—inside their heads. Using only their imagination, they create a whole kingdom in the woods. Warning: This novel will make you cry.
