Description
New York Times bestselling author Linda Howard captivates readers in the deeply romantic tale of a contemporary woman who unravels an extraordinary mystery from the past—by living it.
A scholar specializing in ancient manuscripts, Grace St. John never imagined that a cache of old documents she discovered was the missing link to a lost Celtic treasure. But as soon as she deciphers the legend of the Knights of the Templar -- long fabled to hold the key to unlimited power -- Grace becomes the target of a ruthless killer bent on abusing the coveted force. Determined to stop him, Grace needs the help of a warrior bound by duty to uphold the Templar's secret for all eternity. But to find him -- and to save herself -- she must go back in time . . . to fourteenth-century Scotland . . . and to Black Niall, a fierce man of dark fury and raw, unbridled desire. . . .

Satisfying read!
5By Bonobo294There is much that happens in this book! On many levels, it is a very satisfying and engaging read. This book was published in 1997, when there were still editors. I loved the refreshing range of vocabulary, the great punctuation and proper syntax! Love how she weaves history expertly with fiction and paints the scenes so vividly of the events in the lives of the characters. I felt like I was there with Grace and Niall, and the others. So good!Okay…
3By dawnferronIt wasn’t bad but I don’t think that I would recommend it just based on that fact that for a book that’s supposed to be about time travel you have to get through more than 3/4ths of the book before you finally get to the good parts. It felt like it was really dragging in some parts and I had to really push myself through this book. Again, not bad but not great.Recommend
