NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “Survival of the sexiest . . . This is high adventure and nonstop romantic suspense.”—Bookreporter
Thirty-two-year-old Angie Powell has always spoken her mind, but in the presence of Dare Callahan she nurses a simmering rage. Three years ago, Dare returned home to rural Montana and opened a hunting business to rival Angie’s own, forcing her to close up shop. The infuriatingly attractive Iraq war vet even had the nerve to ask Angie out, not once but twice. Before Angie leaves town, she organizes one last trip into the wilderness with a client. But the adrenaline-fueled adventure turns deadly when Angie witnesses a cold-blooded murder and finds herself on the wrong side of a gun. Then a bear comes crashing through the woods—changing the dark game completely. Luckily, Dare is camping nearby and comes to her aid. Forced together for survival, Angie and Dare must confront hard feelings, a blinding storm, and a growing attraction—while a desperate killer and a ferocious five-hundred-pound beast stalk their prey.
BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt of Linda Howard and Linda Jones's Running Wild.

What an incredibly satisfying read!
5By Bonobo294Wow! What a terrific book! This was so well written, so captivating, so thrilling! Loved the relatable characters, the tantalizing plot, the wild adventure and the delightful dénouement! There were some laugh-out-loud funny moments sprinkled throughout, too. Great book!Love Linda Howard
4By earmstr1Ever since I happened across her first book, I've been reading every one I can find at the library. I love her books and Prey is no exception. The crime/mystery and romance combo are great and the characters, even secondary ones are well developed.Reviewer
2By KristopherrobinA little repetitive, but overall an easy read with a good story lineGood adventurous reading!!!
4By Hevrbear331This book is pretty on-track with the quality of writing and plot-line that I love Linda Howard for. I enjoyed the more adventurous side of this book and was appreciative of the toned down quantity of intimacy between the characters. The only part that I have a slight issue with was the fact that the insight into the antagonist was a bit lengthy... I got a bit bored and antsy reading those parts. Great book, highly recommend it!!Prey
5By Stealthgirl256Absolutely loved this story! The suspense of the hunt and the sexual tension between the main characters made the book hard to put down.Enjoy
5By firmdebLove, love, LOVE your books!Barely rehabbed early work?
2By Kathryn929As a huge fan of Linda Howard and having read all of her books many times, I'd have to guess that this a much earlier work that has been dusted off and published. Descriptions are repetitive beyond belief, mediocre exposition runs RAMPANT and the development between the main characters was virtually non-existent. Much like with her other recent releases, very disappointed and disheartened when a trusted author puts out this product.Prey

3By flowbleuI usually love Linda's books but this one was disappointing. The characters and chemistry were great but the plot was not up to Linda's standards.
