Description

Radio and television host Glenn Beck has experienced the rollercoaster of life like few others. From the suicide of his mother when he was just thirteen, to his eventual alcoholism, depression, divorce, unemployment, and health scares—Glenn has weathered life’s darkest storms.

Any one of those struggles could’ve ruined him, yet Glenn was able to keep moving forward. He saw past the darkness into the light; past his grief and addictions and into what his life could be.

The process of finding happiness through personal redemption was not easy, but it left Glenn with a blueprint for how to confront future adversity. Glenn is living proof that these steps—he calls them wonders—don’t just work on paper. They helped transform his life and can they can help to transform yours as well.

Glenn Beck and Dr. Keith Ablow—two of the most popular and influential personalities in American media today—have joined forces to present a powerful guide to personal transformation and fulfillment that is as unique as their own unlikely partnership. They are called the “7 Wonders” and they can be used by anyone who has made the decision that they are ready to change their life.

After the television talk show host and the bestselling psychiatrist struck up a fast friendship they realized that their experiences with life’s struggles were complementary. What Keith had studied, Glenn had lived. What Keith had counseled patients on for years, Glenn had suffered through for decades.

The deeply personal insights they shared brought them to realize that their life stories had seven key principles in common; seven wonders that seemed to be essential ingredients for anyone attempting to transform their life.

The 7 is a life changing book that you will read more than once and come back to often. Put aside your thoughts about Glenn politically and take the time to grow from his raw life story and the principles that have helped him restore himself.

This book is absolutely amazing in which the reader will draw parallels from Dr. Keith Ablow's perspective and insight as well as the transformation that took place in Glenn's life. Glenn has truly live the 7 wonders.

Wonderful, don't know what provoked me to download this book, but glad I did. I am 13 years sober, had no idea Beck was also sober. Incredible insight by both authors. Highly recommend it.

I abhor Glenn Beck, but I am intrigued by the premise of this book. Can someone who does not watch the Glenn Beck show provide an unbiased review of this book? Someone who does not love or hate him....a review that is about the book, not how you feel about Beck???

This book was an absolute pleasure to read. The simple structure of story with practical, in depth psychology and faith are excellent. Nothing in this book is all that new, but the points have refreshed and encouraged me. Highly recommended.

At the sheer audacity of some of the American public who have posted here. I can not find one poster who has given this a book bad review, that has even mentioned the CO-AUTHOR! Mr. Ablow, thank you for your grace and collaboration in bringing about this life altering piece of work. May God bless you and Mr. Beck for your efforts.

More subjective and divisive drivel from the man cheerleading right wing ideology. If you're seriously looking at reviews with possible intent to buy, it's probably already too late. But for those with still functioning brains - Avoid!

It's amazing that the ones that don't like Glenn have never watched him. If you gave yourself a week to watch his show then it would be obviously clear that what Glenn cares and talks about is love, peace, family, charity, and our Republic; our country. If you are against those things then I shudder to imagine what you are for. Unfortunately these individuals don't decide for themselves about Glenn, but rather blindfully accept the rhetoric of others. To those people I say, open your mouths and say, "baa ha ha ha ha". To Glenn I say thank you very much. You have taught myself and my family more about love, giving, and history more than anyone ever has. You are our nation's Whitfield. Thanks amigo!

I really enjoyed this book. It is definitely making me think about my demons and failings. I plan to start examining my fears that are holding me back. These 7 principles make sense and applied can heal. I plan to read it again, just to reinforce what I have gleaned by reading it once. I went to visit my Mom yesterday and I hadn't finished it yet, but already wanted to recommend it to my brother and sister who were there also. This is a must read for all. Thank you for writing it.

Did you read the book, K.K.? I didn't know this was a blog. I thought it was a book review. I live in AZ and we are mourning the loss of some great people from our state. Please stop raging and be sensitive to that loss.

People like you fall for glen beck's theatrics. Why is it so wrong to provide healthcare to those who need it, provide education to those who want it, and move toward cleaner energy. I don't mind a difference of opinion but I hate idiots who take extreme positions and hate for the sake of hating...and that's exactly what beck does. He is contributing to people having to choose sides rather than work together.

The problem with people like you is that you are so blind to the facts, you are dangerous. You can't even have an honest debate, because you my friend are the one who has such ideological views and hatred toward people who don't have your twisted beliefs that even if Glenn Beck said that blood is red, you would try to claim it is any color but. Not one of you left wing idiots can debate the facts because you would be wrong every time. Why don't you do your own research and if you find it to not be true then you can knock the guy down but until then, shut the hell up. Problem is you can't, so you have to resort to name calling and rock throwing. Why don't idiots like you move to France so we can get this great country back to where it should be! By the way, great book Glenn!
