Description
A postapocalyptic thriller from #1 bestselling author Glenn Beck.
“I was just a baby when we were relocated and I don’t remember much. Everybody has that black hole at the beginning of their life. That time you can’t remember. Your first step. Your first taste of table food. My real memories begin in our assigned living area in Compound 14.”
Just a generation ago, this place was called America. Now, after the worldwide implementation of a UN-led program called Agenda 21, it’s simply known as “the Republic.” There is no president. No Congress. No Supreme Court. No freedom.
There are only the Authorities.
Citizens have two primary goals in the new Republic: to create clean energy and to create new human life. Those who cannot do either are of no use to society. This bleak and barren existence is all that eighteen-year-old Emmeline has ever known. She dutifully walks her energy board daily and accepts all male pairings assigned to her by the Authorities. Like most citizens, she keeps her head down and her eyes closed.
Until the day they come for her mother.
“You save what you think you’re going to lose.”
Woken up to the harsh reality of her life and her family’s future inside the Republic, Emmeline begins to search for the truth. Why are all citizens confined to ubiquitous concrete living spaces? Why are Compounds guarded by Gatekeepers who track all movements? Why are food, water and energy rationed so strictly? And, most important, why are babies taken from their mothers at birth? As Emmeline begins to understand the true objectives of Agenda 21 she realizes that she is up against far more than she ever thought. With the Authorities closing in, and nowhere to run, Emmeline embarks on an audacious plan to save her family and expose the Republic—but is she already too late?

Anyways thank you for the entertainment as well as the awesome information I will be sure to pass it on. I recommend this book to everyone. Please please please tell me there is a sequel coming out soon, even better a series.Agenda 21
4By JP's MBProThis is a fiction book with with non-fiction fact! It is a call for people to wake up and realize that we are slowly being lead into neat little progressive package called communitarianism. Look it up it's a real movement. Thanks GB and Harriet for making me more aware.A great sequel
5By RNG_ShardsThis book captures the passion of The Overton Window and shows the tactics of using rumors of wars to control people. I hope the story continues in a new book.Agenda 21
5By SunnytisSadly, this work is NOT unbelievable! I'll be more active in my local politics, and I am unafraid to confront those who wish to remain lemmings. Thanks for a fantastic and important read!.....well worth my time!Great read
5By JREdwardsEnjoyed reading this book.Need a Sequel
4By I<3cmwI really liked the book, but I felt like it ended WAY too early. Unless that was the author's purpose, and there will be a sequel. Which I hope there will be one!The truth can set you free, if your willing to listen and act...
4By Ira IIIVery easy read, I am looking for more to the novel. I would like to see a sequel. I think we as americans need to wake up and be willing to be, seen, heard, and become active in each and every community. Rosa is speaking truth from all my research, and understanding of this Agenda. What will it take? I have served in the military over thirty years, for what? Our constitution derived freedoms for you and me. Thank you2 Day Read
4By KatyFlatlanderI was surprised when I finished the book on the second day and disappointed that it ended. Surprisingly good read.Glenn Beck IS FICTION
1By imaginagerI was surprised to see Glenn Beck in the fiction section; then, it all made sense. After all, the man has no sense of reality.Disappointing
1By jcandcoThe story was dragged out way too long. Could have been wrapped up in less than half the chapters. Then the book left you hanging. What happened to them would have made abetter finish. Reminded me of an school library book.Agenda 21
5By GrannygetchurgunDrama King Beck at his best - but I have NEVER heard an untruth from him.Great read.
5By Dez92I loved the book. I'm not a huge fan of Beck, but I listen to his show and even watched him occasionally before he was only on GB tv. Even if I wasn't into the political aspects of Agenda 21, I would have loved it for just the story. The end was a bit abrupt, but not as bad as some are making it seem. I believe it fit well and you could see that the book was heading in that direction. Definitely worth a read by everyone, maybe it'll wake up this sleeping nation. But I can only hope.Food for thought...
5By Mrs. GooseRead it in one day! I like how a lot of reviews say "Beck didn't write it" or "he's paranoid". He explains clearly in the "Afterword" section of the book why the book was written and by whom. As far as the "paranoid" comments, he also explains that the book was written to the extreme of what could be not necessarily what was likely to happen, so lets have a little perspective folks. What is good about this book is that informs you in a creative way and gives you something to consider.First book I've read in 3 years.
5By Jammin81Great book. I'm not a big reader and I finished this book in less than a week. Looking forward to the Overton window next.Terrible ending
1By Reviewer1932Good story until the abrupt ridiculous ending. A waste of my money. I will not read or purchase another of this authors books. We should all stop buying his books. Very disappointed.Unfullfilling
3By LKeating87Although a decent story at first, the ending is incredibly disappointing. It will leave you unsatisfied. The last 30pages is nothing but propaganda.Agenda 21
4By 1 Little JoeHard to put down , female influence was noticed & appreciated will appeal to your soft side , Beck is always spot on , timing sometimes off , but never wrong !
