Description
On January 8, 2011 a gunman opened fire in the parking lot of a Tucson, Arizona supermarket, where U. S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords was holding an opening meeting with her constituents. Nineteen people were wounded, and six people died. Four days later, at a memorial service at the McKale Memorial Center at the University of Arizona, President Obama gave a speech that remembered those who had died, gave thanks to the heroes of that day, and called upon Americans to strive to be better, more humble, always honest and kind-- to live up to the example of those who died, and to the promise of America. President Obama's speech in Tucson was a landmark call for unity, and a reflection of all that is best in America.

Not interesting.
1By texaspilotJust a bunch of ballyhoo, and puffed up rhetoric. BoringBest president we've ever had

5By AntLJohnsonAs I read through the comments, I saw far more negative than otherwise. Why!? As a human being as well as Our President, he has only tried to do what's right. His commitment to doing what's right in the face of opposition, which seem to only exist for opposition's sake, is very commendable and admirable. He is Our President and he cares about us all as Americans. Can we as a country please be more supportive and hold him accountable legitimately? No need for all this hate and name calling...Inspirational
5By Heather JohnsonIt seems so impossible to me that there are actually individuals out there that conspire Obama to be the anti-Christ. This speech was so moving, so personal to the individual victims. And I felt the message was right on. We do need to fashion our country for those that are the future, and that at the end of the day we choose how we treat one another.
