Even though this book is an entertaining work of fiction, much of the advice could actually be applied to realistic scenarios, such as earthquakes, civil unrest, and similar conditions. 4By BAKjustAthoughtIt is difficult to tell whether Brooks means this book as dark albeit amusing entertainment or if he himself believes that one day--perhaps sooner than we think--we will have to contend with the zombie (or ghoul, as he seems to prefer to call them) apocalypse. This book is a quick, easy read and while it doesn't hold up terribly well to those of us with a strong scientific background, its elements are convincing enough to qualify for suspended disbelief. All in all, this book is worth purchasing if you like zombie literature.Must read for the preparation of the end!

People called this book funny and enjoyable, but I just didn't get it, much like I never got Bob Newhart's brand of humor but apparently the guy is freaking hilarious.
