The author drops the ball at the end
3By Nessland10The author drops the ball at the end..I thought the premise was going to be a problem for me, but as I read the story the reader begins to believe there is a reason why the husband wants her to do what she does. And well, not going to spoil it but she really married a manipulative SOB. The problem for me was the way it all is wrapped up. It seems this particular author struggles with tying up a story. I recently began reading her stories and it seems to be a pattern for her.Waking up with a Duke
4By Armik BGreat read love the series love Leo and the Mother she is great love this whole familyVery well written, great book
5By Iba4x4momThis book is pretty self-explanatory so the reader knows it will be heart wrenching. The author does an amazing job of bringing emotion into the book and making the reader feel the depth of feelings each character is going through. This is part of a series I assume so I will go back and read the others before this one. The negative in this book is that the hero is an absolutely kind, generous and sweet man. The heroine is frankly mean and some parts were difficult to read when he was hurting and she was being self absorbed. So So romantic
5By Benny andajetsGuaranteed good read, read it in one sitting. So worth the time and moneyLoved it!

4By lilmonkeymomIf you like Johanna Lindsey then you will like this author.Heartwrenching
5By Helen LivelyThis is book and Promise Me Forever were heart wrenching in story and angst. It wasn't a cookie cutter. It was difficult for me to read straight through (very unusual). I had to take it in small doses. It was uncomfortable at first, beguiling and the characters weren't perfect (well, the duke could be close). The title is an interesting play in that Lady Jayne, in her growing relationship with Ainsley, wakes up to her self, to the things she thought she had, not just physically waking up with him.Great read
4By marielaanAlthough not my favorite of Lorraine Heath's books- it is still a worthy read. You can always count on her to deliver a great story. Can not wait for her next book :)
