Description
The first novel in the New York Times bestselling Iron Druid Chronicles—the hilarious, action-packed tales of a two-thousand-year-old Druid pursued by ancient gods in the modern world
“A page-turning and often laugh-out-loud-funny caper through a mix of the modern and the mythic.”—Ari Marmell, author of The Warlord’s Legacy
Atticus O’Sullivan is the last of the ancient druids. He has been on the run for more than two thousand years and he’s tired of it. The Irish gods who want to kill him are after an enchanted sword he stole in a first-century battle, and when they find him managing an occult bookshop in Tempe, Arizona, Atticus doesn’t want to uproot his life again. He just wants everything to end one way or another, but preferably the way in which he can continue to enjoy fish and chips.
He does have some small hope of survival: The Morrigan, the Irish Chooser of the Slain, is on his side, and so is Brighid, First Among the Fae. His lawyer is literally a bloodsucking vampire, and he has a loyal Irish wolfhound with opinions about poodles.
But he’s facing down some mighty enemies: Aenghus Óg, a vengeful Irish god, plus a coven of witches and even the local police. On top of all that, Aenghus has a direct line to the firepower of hell. Atticus will need all the luck of the Irish and more if he’s going to stay alive.
Don’t miss any of The Iron Druid Chronicles:
HOUNDED | HEXED | HAMMERED | TRICKED | TRAPPED | HUNTED | SHATTERED | STAKED | SCOURGED | BESIEGED

Amazing!
5By Eric J. NorthA funny, intriguing, and adventurous piece of work! Highly recommended.Excellent Read
5By DaddyBear59This story was lots of fun. We are introduced into a vast world of Gods, Fey, blood-sucking attorneys, witches, giants, monsters and one eternally youthful Druid. The characters are vivid and interesting, whether friend or foe. The characters, their abilities, the action of the story and the settings are each set forth thoroughly but without clogging or slowing the brisk action of the story. I am ready for the next in the series!Missing audiobook but great series

5By MickspOverall the book was definitely great and what it lacked a little in imagination for the ending it more than made up for it with overall plot, humor, and characters. As the reader of hundreds of books of the genre even putting in the time to write this review shows something that I don’t usually get out of most books. Great job can’t wait to keep reading would definitely suggest as a read. Left a lot of loose ends easily could be incorporated in future books that I’m sure will hit me like “OOOOOOH THAT DID HAPPEN” anyways definitely worth a try in my opinion.Honestly fun
5By IrishVirus85I got this book just looking for a quick read. I was pleasantly surprised and how captivating the author made the story. I didn't wan't to put it down, and was required to have a charger for my phone around constantly. I have purchased and read all the other Iron Druid chronicles books and read them all. Well worth the price and great to read over and over. SláinteAmazing!
5By Spartiate12Read the book. You will not be disappointed.Missed the mark
2By all the nicknames have been takenFor me this author tried too hard to be witty and cute and I just wasn't amused at the parts that I imagine I was supposed to be. His trusty canine companion was in NO WAY as likable as I'm sure he was supposed to be. I believe I have a good vocabulary but was forced to look up some obscure words that would have done well in the game balderdash. I wasn't impressed.I was worried...
5By PowerLintthese urban fantasies have been pumped out for some years now - usually a vixen on the cover to draw some crowd in. I was worried about this cover and the beefycakey look, but it totally made sense after reading. Atticus is not your typical sword wielding protagonist but an awesome character with a very interesting sense of humor. I could not put the books down and fell in love in a dorky way with all of the characters. Kevin Hearne is a wonderful writer with great talent at avoiding flashbacks that fill chapters. it's a refreshing change. the best part of reading these books on your idevice is the lookup and defining of the wonderful world of Wikipedia. i felt like I was in college again with all the new s*it I learned! five stars all of them!! now, get back to writing Kevin...Phenomenal!!!
5By Ruce RayneAs someone who completely hates to read but a fan of this genre (video), when I decided to give reading a try after I acquired an iPad, I just couldn't put it down. It's captivating, engrossing and quite funny. A mixture I can definitely keep my attention. I hope the chronicles can go on forever. Give it a whirl people.Hounded
