I have read the majority of his work and am always enlightened and empowered to see history through the conscineces of those who participated shaping it. The Final Storm is an exhilarating read. The war in the Pacific is every bit as significant as the war in Europe during WW2. To read this book is, in some very limited ways, to be a part of the experience and helps one identifiy with the terror, complexity and pain that war causes. It also gives us illumination into the humanity of many of America’s greatest leaders.The Final Storm

Jeff gives great insight into the mind of the soldier as well as the commanders on both sides. This book, as does the rest of the series, goes well beyond names and dates and brings humanity to the battlefield.The final storm
