“Mind-bending…. [An] alternately fascinating and frightening book.” —San Francisco Chronicle
Space elevators. Internet-enabled contact lenses. Cars that fly by floating on magnetic fields. This is the stuff of science fiction—it’s also daily life in the year 2100.
Renowned theoretical physicist Michio Kaku considers how these inventions will affect the world economy, addressing the key questions: Who will have jobs? Which nations will prosper? Kaku interviews three hundred of the world’s top scientists—working in their labs on astonishing prototypes. He also takes into account the rigorous scientific principles that regulate how quickly, how safely, and how far technologies can advance. In Physics of the Future, Kaku forecasts a century of earthshaking advances in technology that could make even the last centuries’ leaps and bounds seem insignificant.

Physics of the Future
4By Gio MixEnjoyed the topics and I enjoy how it's written. Mr. Kaku has the gift of explaining complex and abstract ideas in a way that make sense to me.Very good book
5By Mad minecrafterThis book is amazing, it is different from other books on this topic, because the future technological advances that are mentioned are based on prototypes that exist today. Overall great book.Great Book

5By mikmcs43As a "happy" atheist, I wish the author would have addressed how science can advance without religion. I am convinced that humans obsession with deities and religion are a major roadblock to the advancement of science and our species' advancement. Thank you "The Happy Atheist"Simply fantastic

1By Sdemirelthe book has many erors in it some pages jumps to other .unreadable. dowloaded many times nothing changesPhysics of the Future
2By GNewkThis book was very disappointing. I expected a scientifically based extrapolation of where we would be in 89 years. Although the author does this to a credible extent for the next 39 years, he begins to depart from a scientifically based prediction and devolved into a rambling, internally inconsistent view of the world in the latter 1/3 of the book. Anyone who is reasonably well read on scientific issues (I.e., who reads the Science Times each week), will learn little and be very frustrated by this book. If you fit this category, don't buy it.Love the book
5By YaronGoShows you how the futcher will look if we only stop our childish behaviorsSo so,
3By Bdazzler03The recap comparison of a paper dated 1900, left me, completely, understanding this authors demographic based view, even in quoting someone else, sadly. Ok book otherwise.
