Love the book; hate the typos
5By MorgenswegThis is actually one of my favorite books, enough so that I read my paper copy to rags. The setting is intriguing: a chance to see Los Angeles before it became a megapolis. I like the characters, Norah and Alec in particular. Norah is the main POV character, and her total unfamiliarity with the film-making process allows the author to give the readers a richly detailed glimpse into the movie-making world without it coming across as an info-dump. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that whoever put the e-copy together trusted the scanning software too much. Some of the mistakes are funny, some are confusing, and all of them break the flow of the story. Still, the story is worth the aggravation.
