  • Probably the worst one I read

I been on a role with reading the expanded universe after episode 6 and when I reached this one, it bored me. I felt like the author went overboard with the mental and visual description, taking forever to get to the point. I get so caught up figuring out what the heck the author is talking about and the next thing I know, the character was some where else. Other sw books took me about a week to read. This one took me about 3 months. This book made me look down on Luke the more I got into the plot. I didn't think it was possible but this author did it Unfortunately, if you want to keep up with the timeline on what's to come, you have to read this book. According to the timeline info I got online. Read at your own risk

After reading the Thrawn & Jedi Academy trilogies this book was a big disappointment and a hard read. Anderson & Zahn did way better jobs. If you're a fan it's still a must read but I didn't particularly enjoy it.
  • One of the best SW books out there!

Hambly is one of the few authors chosen to write for the Star Wars Expanded Universe, who "gets" Luke Skywalker, and who knows how to craft a proper love story. Forget what haters of Callista say, open your mind and absorb this great story!
