Description

Jaque Pierce was an ordinary 17-year-old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, TX when a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street. Jacque and her two best friends Sally and Jen don’t realize the last two weeks of their summer are going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane, she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn too is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate, the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy and will Jacque accept she is Fane’s mate and complete the bond between them?

I love how this book draws you into their world. Very well written and I can’t wait to read the 2nd book in the series.

I read the sample, and it was very, very slow. Friends seem like 9 year old kids instead of 18 year old young adults. I read other samples of this and I thought “I wish this would continue on because I have a limited amount of time on this because this is a sample” Romance was ok-ish, but it was WAY to fast. Like Jac was all like “Come to mama, foreign boy. I’ll work out those kinks”. Ick. It was weird when she said that. Also, the language they use is awful. Did you know that CHILDREN read this, right?!! Also, Fane was all like “Soon, my Jacquelyn. Soon” This is a good book, but it has very sexual content in it

Okay I love these books but the audio does not match the books. Words are changed and it does sound better but I’m one that like to read while listen to audio while traveling. It is very frustrating. But love these books will all my heart and will continue to listen or read these over and over if I’m ever between books and don’t know what to read.

Well written, good characters, the first book of a long series, and I really like shape shifters.

I first read this book back in 2013, and have read it again multiple times since. This is the book that got me hooked on the Grey Wolves universe and I’m glad to be around 10+ years later! To everyone who wrote the 1 star reviews saying it was like a child wrote it… this was the first book that Quinn ever wrote and she has admitted that her writing has grown a lot in the 10+ years since this one was written. Just give it a chance and maybe you’ll come to love them like all us 5 star readers do

This book used to be so good but over the years the story’s changed and now Jacque isn’t even Jacque any more the words have been changed so much that I don’t even like the book anymore. It’s really sad because this used to be a comfort novel and now I hate it.
