Description

For fans of The Hunger Games, Battlestar Galactica, and Blade Runner comes the first book in the Partials Sequence, a fast-paced, action-packed, and riveting sci-fi teen series, by acclaimed author Dan Wells.

Humanity is all but extinguished after a war with Partials—engineered organic beings identical to humans—has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island. But sixteen-year-old Kira is determined to find a solution. As she tries desperately to save what is left of her race, she discovers that that the survival of both humans and Partials rests in her attempts to answer questions about the war's origin that she never knew to ask.

Playing on our curiosity of and fascination with the complete collapse of civilization, Partials is, at its heart, a story of survival, one that explores the individual narratives and complex relationships of those left behind, both humans and Partials alike—and of the way in which the concept of what is right and wrong in this world is greatly dependent on one's own point of view.

I really enjoyed this book! I discovered that I love dystopian genre books lol. But yeah, this is a must read! There are some parts that can be long to get to the point but it's worth it! So go buy this!

I gave it four stars because it reminded me constantly of the series "the maze runner" by James Dashner. It sounds good, but I think it's a but copie on ideas. But still, I think it's really good. Read it. Definitely read it.

Kept me on the edge of my seat even when I'd already sorta guessed the climax.

I just finished this book and absolutely loved it. The beginning was very good, but then I lost interest for a small section. However, once you get into this book, it will be impossible to put down. My only real complaint is the big twist at the end of the book. It seemed a little bit forced and not entirely realistic. It seems like there should have been a few more hints leading up to it. I like it when there is a twist in a book and I think, "Man, how could I have missed that. I should have put that together.". Even with that said, please read this book.
  • Worth it!

Great book! It's very easy to read with a storyline that is easy to relate to. At the same time, this book forces you to leave your own reality. Addictive and exciting!

I loved this book, it makes you on the edge, and in a very calming way. This book is something I will be recommending to others!!!! Don't just read the sample. You have to read past the 4th chapter for it to start to come together.
