Description

After one heartache too many, Valerie Zuniga vows to never let Alex Moreno hurt her again. A year later, she is forced to reunite with him at a party where one unexpected sizzling kiss tells her she’s far from over him. No way will she allow herself to get sucked back into that torment. She’ll resist him even if that means using the one thing that’ll stop Alex dead in his tracks: another man.

Alex is coming off one of the worst years of his life. He spent so much time wallowing in self-pity, he never realized how much he’d missed Valerie. That is, until that kiss. Now, he’s determined to get her back one way or another, and no other man will stand in his way. Especially after discovering that Valerie may be in danger, a danger he blames himself for.

The author needs a better editor. This book contained too many mistakes.

I just couldn't get through this novel easily. It has the bones for a good story, but not a compelling story or cast of characters due to writing style and poor character maturity.

Overall, a good book. Certain parts were a little too detailed and unnecessary, which would in no way lessen the strength of the book if removed. I must admit however that I found Valerie incredibly annoying. She depended entirely too much on the opinions of others and jumped to conclusions (though some were understandable). Most frustrating of all was how she failed to see how her interaction(s) with Luke were just as problematic as how Alex behaved early on in their relationship. You would think, having experienced what she did and the frustration she felt when she thought he was up to no good, she would easily see how her relationship with Luke was an issue.

Didn't like the dialogue. Too much explaining of why this or that. Quit the book 100 pages in.

So I got the book from BookBub. I started to read and it seemed ok. I have never been able to stop reading a book in the middle I have to finish it. First of all it has a lot of grammatical errors. Second the story is to long. Characters are to immature. It's not really a love story as it is a sad story. They had to wait a full year to try to fix things really. That's just stupid. The story line is good. I would recommend proof reading it. Trying to remove some extra lines that makes no sense. To the author I would recommend read the book yourself and see if you would tell your friends to read it.

This is a great novel. I just couldn't put it down. I finished reading it in two days. Just look past the grammatical errors.

This book grates on my nerves. The characters goes on and on and I feel like the book just drags. The drama reminds me of typical high school crap that's unrealistic. I couldn't even finish the book.
