Captive Rose
By Miriam Minger
- Release Date: 2010-11-06
- Genre: Historical Romance
Description
With the sheer strength of his muscular body, Crusader Guy de Warenne overpowered his captors and fled the hell-hole of the Syrian prison. Yet he couldn’t leave Damascus without rescuing the lovely violet-eyed “slave girl” who had saved his life by tenderly caring for his battle wounds.
She is Leila, a raven-haired English beauty kidnapped in infancy, schooled in medicine by the wealthy physician who adopted her…and trained in the sensual delights of the harem. To Leila, the Crusader is a savage barbarian who ravaged her adopted homeland and ruthlessly carried her away to serve his own purposes. Yet, even in her fury, she is drawn to this man of unexpected tenderness and awakened to a raw, sensual power that will carry them both on a tumultuous journey into adventure, danger, and love.

4By bibliofreak21I was lucky enough to catch it when it was free and I'm so grateful I did or else I would have never looked at it twice. This by far exceeded my expectations and actually turned out to be an amazing book for such a good price. There's no instantaneously falling in love, although there's plenty of instantaneous lust, and the characters are actually very much likable. A definite recommended for any who's looking for an enjoyable read to pass the time.Loved it!!

2By AvidscifanNot believable...frustrating read. The story Started out good but the plot seemed to Thin out and the characters remained Stagnant. Your typical romance novel With some cultural and historical References to clothes. Nothing new here.Captive Rose
4By El G MAEnjoyed this very much. Leila is a very passionate and headstrong woman. It takes a wise and bullheaded man like Guy to win her heart.
