Description
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Elvis Cole and Joe Pike series comes a thrilling novel featuring LAPD K-9 Officer Scott James and his German shepherd, Maggie.
Nine months ago, a shocking assault by unidentified men killed Scott James' partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty—until he meets his new partner.
Maggie is not doing so well, either. A German shepherd who survived two tours in Afghanistan sniffing explosives before losing her handler, her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s.
They are each other’s last chance. And they’re about to investigate the one case no one wants them to touch: identifying the men who murdered Stephanie. But what they find could ultimately break them both.

5By Bun Brrabbid LopRobert Crais is a new author to me. This eBook was on sale. I read the description of the story. And, the many reviews. Most were positive. Was not disappointed! I am now a new fan. And, will be buying all of his books...one at a time. Suspense, mystery, and the special bond of man and his dog made this story great! German Shepherds have always been the best kind of dog. My family had one as a pet. She was intelligent, protective of all of the family, gave us fun and happy times and love! 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰Gripping

1By fjcan2I enjoy Elvis Cole and Joe Pike books. This book clearly shows it’s an Elvis Cole and Joe Pike book, BUT, it’s not. Okay book about a guy and his police dog, but that’s not the point. The point is, I didn’t buy a book about a dog, but that’s what I got. Buyer beware on this false advertising! And, because of this deception, I’ll. Never buy another Robert Craise book again. Asta la vista!Suspect
