Great reading

I enjoyed reading this story. I loved the suspense and the storyline. The characters were fantastic and the author keeps the reader engaged.

Great book, great storyline, great characters! I loved this book! It was pretty clean too ( there were some sex scenes if you could even call them that because they didn’t get into any details they just kinda blatantly implied it) some language not too bad though. Overall great book I really enjoyed it! 💝

This is a great series…and this is one of the best in the series!

Enjoyed this story betraying the reality of drugs being sold to our children and the people who fight against it. It’s also a sweet love story that takes place in a small town in Kentucky. Great storyline and characters!

I didn’t want this book to end! I drug it out for as long as I could! I enjoyed the first person writing of the main character in the opening of the book. I enjoyed seeing the country thru the eyes of a city girl seeing it for the first time. Small town gossip, little old ladies, homemade casseroles next to illegal drugs, teenage hormones, team spirit,homecoming. Family, not having one . Being on the outside. To having family and friends, true friends And we can’t forget one very big love able canine. This book makes you feel a roller coaster of emotions. Definitely a good read!

I love all of kathleen brooks books. This one got me hooked. The characters are great and as her books continue they all come together perfectly. All her books are full of suspense, comedy, romance. Once I start reading I can’t put it down. I recommend 100%.

I enjoy this author. This was a nice story where there were no predictable stupid misconceptions on the characters’ parts. There was attraction, it was acted on, and no silly misunderstandings occurred like in many “romance novels.” Maybe I read too many of these, but the “villain” was apparent to me early on.

I loved how well u brought all ur characters out,I really enjoyed the humor. I laughed through most of this book this is a great read & even cried about some of the sweetness about how she had no one then she had it all!!

Kathleen Brooks gave us a novel filled with romance, suspense, humor and a HEA. I read this book some time ago and it deserved another read. I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. I look forward to reading about all the Davies brothers.

So good! Funny, intriguing, cute, poignant! Very well written! Good, clean, romance with a lil humor and a lil suspense. Brooks creates a place and environment where you want to be a member.

I love any book I have read by this author!!! Kathaleen writes this series all connecting or stand alone .... love, comedy, the Rose sisters are hilarious!!!!this one stars Cade& Annie, who are delightful!!!! I truely recommend this Bluegrass series!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and this author's writing style. The humor was well placed and not overdone for a suspense book. The characters are well drawn and the secondary characters are fun and add to the story. I easily figured out who the bad guy was very early in but it did not take away from the story as I was caught up in the character development and how the author would get the reader to the end. Highly recommend and I am off to immediately purchase the next book in the series!

Good combination of mystery, action, romance

Kathleen Brooks hits it out of the park with this one. Cade Davies, is a decorated Army Ranger who now is teaching and coaching high school football. Annie Blake is a DEA agent undercover at the high school searching for the source of a new drug being sold on the streets. When Annie "saves" Cade from a teen who is under the influence, Cade decides he needs Annie in his life. Catch up on your favorite Keenston family and neighbors.

This is the 2nd book I've read by this author, I enjoy the quirky characters and the strong female roles. I only gave this one 4 stars because it kind of slows in the middle but then it picks up again at the end, also I had the kingpin figured out way before it was revealed and it seemed a bit dragged out in that section I realize it was for suspense but I found myself yelling at the characters.

I had never heard of Kathleen Brooks until I took a chance on a free book on iBooks. Turns out to have been a really good book. Now I have to read the rest of the series. Thank goodness I started with book 1. I look forward to reading the rest of the series to see what happens to Cade's brothers. I hope you take a chance like I did. Good reading.
