Description

One missing shell. One quirky family. One chance to save the Shell Shop.

Julia and her husband started the shell shop in the Florida Keys decades ago, before their now-grown children were born—he sold the rare shells he found on diving trips around the world and she raised their kids among the balmy breezes and waving palm trees.

But John died in a diving accident and now it's all up to Julia. Her adult kids are busy with their own lives, and Julia has to dig deep to figure out a way to keep the shop—and her home—afloat.

When a world-famous shell collector expects a rare shell that her husband promised to deliver, can the Montgomery family rally together and figure out the method to John's madness? Find the shell John died trying to find and keep the shop in business?

Escape into this feel-good beach series. You'll fall in love with the Montgomery family while you visit the warm sunny beaches of the Florida Keys!

First time reading this author, and I would read her again. This was a short story, clean story, a sweet family story. I really enjoyed it. It was a prequel to other stories about this same family. The husband and father of the family died in a dive accident. His wife had always been a wife and mother and not involved in the shell stop but now has to be needing the income. Her husband dived for shells for collectors and made a very good living for the family. The children are all grown but realize their mother needs their help and an income to continue on supporting herself, affording the home, and learning to run the shell shop.

An enjoyable short story but way too short.
