5By Patti21964This was a great read; I didn’t want to put it down. The characters are ever evolving, getting in trouble, and solving a very big problem from Evie’s past. Who knew small towns on the Bayou could have so much intrigue and danger. The sassiness and hardheaded shenanigans of Evie made her real, she had depth and dimension. I loved that the male & female leads realized they loved each other while trying to rescue her younger sister from blood thirsty killers…it was a story inside of a story. Coming to acceptance after dealing with murder, explosions, break ins, theft, betrayal, and broken hearts finally gave credence to their love. That type of love is real…enduring…eternal. Highly recommend this one…Hot Pursuit

Matt came from a rich family and Evie a girl from the wrong side of town . This book takes them through almost twenty years of their lives. So much happens it is a great time to start a wonderful new series . I know I’m going to enjoy them all.Military love story

4By AnaxkolasiI just decided to reread the HOT series, and this second chance romance was just as good as I remembered. Matt and Evie have known each other since they were children. They had a serious falling out when they were teenagers (you can read all about it in the prequel; Reckless Heat) and it is now 10 years later. Matt is back in town for his sisters wedding and Evie is back in town after having her life turned upside down. With disappearances and bodies showing up in their small town they find themselves thrown together to figure out what is going on. Will old feelings resurface or will they find that they have changed to much over the years? Mystery and intrigue is in abundance in this book and I really enjoyed their story!Hot pursuit
