First rate. Pavone is a gifted writer.

This book is slow and promises more than it delivers. Where it aims at being complex and intriguing, it is just complicated. This expensive audiobook was a waste of money. I didn't even finish listening to it. Stopped midway out of boredom.

Chris Pavone follows his excellent The Expats with The Accident. His books are well-plotted, and full of interesting insights into the publishing milieu. This was a real page turner.

Skipped through a lot of pages, didn't miss much. Bulky prose.

This story travels from coast to coast as the race to publish competes with the will of this autobiographical manuscript's lead who will do what ever it takes, even kill, to recover "The Accident" and keep it out of the eye of the public and law enforcement. The Accident is a thriller like no other, within a world few book lovers will ever see. As a publishing professional for almost 50 years, I could not resist buying this book by another insider. But if you like thrillers and mysteries at all, I promise you an entertaining romp, whether you know anything about the wild and wacky world of book publishing or not.

This is a well-written thriller! I couldn't put the book down easily. It's a wild ride.
